What is the hazard(s) or hazardous activity? / Rotary Evaporator - Use, Including Chiller-Cirulator & Membrane Pump Operation

How will injury occur? / implosion from glassware under vacuum; chemical contact/exposure due to spillage or pump exhaust; leaks from chiller unit; faulty electrics; fire.
What is the likely outcome? / cuts from broken glass; irratation to eyes, skin and respiratory tract from pump exhaust or chemical spillage;slip/fall; electrocution; burns.
What control measures are in place? / check glassware for cracks before use; protective coating on condensor and trap to minimise implosion hazard; exahust piped into fumehood; wear gloves, labcoat and eye protection; electrical equipment regularly safety checked/serviced; chiller cut-out mechanism to prevent flooding.
