Personal Statement:

I have spent the last couple of years working within a public house, which saw me start out as a barman then take on more responsibility with a promotion to Team Leaderand gain my personal licence.Whilst doing this I was balancing my career and training for a new career within the military, which taught me great time management skills, with a determination to succeed and adaptability. I am now looking to pursue a new career, where I can excel at and be the best I can be.

Before working within hospitality I gained experience working abroad on Super Yachts ensuring they were maintained to a high standard, operating safely and effectively, whilst looking as clean as possible. Also, I worked for UK Sailing Academy, in which I taught young children and young adults to sail, kayak, instruct, and work as a team. This saw me having to adhere to strict safety regulations and make managerial decisions as well as continual risk assessments of each individual activity and group. I would lead sessions alongside other staff members managing groups fromsix to thirty six.

Employment history:

I acted as the assistant harbour master, safely planning and managing events like the Jazz on the quay and the family fun weekend, which saw over 200 yachts, descend onto the harbour. I played a key role in the safety of the business, carrying out health and safety checks, as well as fire and risk assessments regularly.
