Cat Foster Agreement
When fostering for AZ Furry Friends Rescue Foundation (AZFFRF), we ask that you provide safe shelter, food and water, and loving care. Any cat food, litter, treats, toy donations AZFFRF receives will be passed on to you. AZFFRF is responsible for any vet or medical care for the foster animal(s) that are in your care. AZFFRF is also responsible for spaying/neutering, vaccinating and the final placement of the animal(s) in your care. I understand that fostering is a volunteer position, and I will not receive any money for fostering. Please initial here if you have read and agree to the above: ______
Because we do not have a public facility, we ask that our fosters take into consideration that if they are fostering an animal(s) that is coming from AZ Humane Society or any other shelter facility, the animal(s) may not be in the best of health. The may have fleas, and/or medical issues such as upper respiratory infection, etc, which can be treated, but may be of a nuisance at first, and may be contagious to other animals. If the foster animal does have something contagious, and it is passed onto your personal pet, AZFFR is not held accountable for any vet costs for your pet. We also do not know any behavioral issues the animal(s) may have. We ask that our potential fosters consider all of the above before making a commitment. If the foster is unhappy with the animal(s) because of any of the reasons above, we will find alternate placement for the animal(s), but it may take a few days and may even take a week. AZ Furry Friends Rescue Foundation (AZFFRF) shall not be held liable to any volunteer (defined to include foster care givers) or to any member/guests of volunteer’s household for any injury, death, or damage directly or indirectly caused by any dog or cat I any encounter in the course of my foster care work with AZFFRF. I do hereby release AZFFRF (and its Directors, Volunteers, and Members) from any and all liability, claims, suits, demands, or causes of action which may arise out of or be brought against AZFFRF by virtue of my proximity to any dog or cat rescued or fostered by AZFFRF. It is the expressed intention of myself and AZFFR that the release provided for in this paragraph is designed and intended to protect AZFFRF from the consequences of any attack, bite, destruction of or damage to my premises or property. This also includes my personal pets’ health. If a foster animal transfers any kind of health issue to my personal pet, I will not hold AZFFRF responsible for any bet bills that may occur for my personal pet.
