18In estimating the number of awards won, all wins up to and including the 7 days before the date of closing of entries shall be counted when entering for any class, February 17th 2007.

19It is the competitors’ responsibility to be available for their class and running order.

20Handlers working more than one dog in a class must ensure that the dogs compete in the sequence in which they are drawn. Failure to do so may result in elimination.

21Should circumstances so dictate Carn Brea Agility Club, in consultation with the judges may alter arrangements as necessary. Such changes and the circumstances surrounding them must be reported to the Kennel Club.

22A dog must at the time of entry for the competition, be registered as required by the Kennel Club rules and regulations in the competitors name (or registration or transfer applied for). In the case of a partnership the full name of every partner must be given. In the case dogs recorded as owned by a limited company, thedirectors and the secretary of the limited company will jointly be considered for the purpose of the regulations. A dog acquired subsequent to entry having been made at a competition may compete as the new owners property provided that an application for the transfer has been forwarded to the Kennel Club before the competition, and the new owner as undertaken to abide by the regulations and conditions of the original entry form.

23Animals in Event. No animal other than one officially entered shall be brought into the precincts of the event during its continuance, except any dogs registered to assist the disabled, or dogs required for educational or instructional purposes or by permission of the General Committee.

24All dogs resident outside the U.K. must be issued with a Kennel Club authority to compete number before entry to the show/event can be made. All overseas entrieswithout an Authority to compete number will be returned the exhibitor/competitor.

25There will be no practicing in the ring before, during or after the Show.

26Carn Brea Agility club cannot accept responsibility for any loss or damage to persons, dogs or property whilst at the show.

27A briefing will be held prior to each class when competitors will be allowedto walk the course without their dogs. No pushchairs will be allowed in the ring.

  1. Any owner, competitor, handler or other person in charge of a dog is required to remove as soon as possible any fouling caused by their dog(s) within the licensedvenue and environs of that event including car and caravan parks and approaches.

29Food shall not be carried on the hand or given to a dog in the ring.

STITHIANS is located between Redruth & Falmouth, just off the A39. On the A30 take the Scorrier turning and turn left at the Crossroads Motel. Straight across crossroad, follow the B3298 via Carharrack until you join the A393 at Comford. Turn left towards Falmouth and take the right turning to STITHIANS, the show will be signposted on the day.

Classes will run in numerical order. A running order will be drawn in advance.

Discretion will be given to allow those whose dogs are drawn close together to space their runs accordingly, but keep to the drawn sequence. (Please don’t turn up at the end of the class with 3 dogs to run). The club intends to use electronic timing in both rings.

CLASSIFICATIONS & ELIGIBILITY:

Only first prizes and points gained in standard classes at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows may be used for progression through the classes (A dog is only eligible for one grade).

Grade 1 (Elementary) For owners, handlers or dogs which have not gained a first place in an agility class or three first places in jumping classes at Kennel Club licensed agility shows. NB Owners, handlers or dogs previously qualified out of Grade 1 (Elementary) are not eligible for this class.

Grade 2 (Starters) For owners, handlers or dogs which have qualified out of Grade 1 but have not gained a first place in an agility class or three first placed in jumping classes at Grade 2 or have elected to progress on points from Grade 1 at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows. NB Owners, handlers or dogs previously qualified out of grade 2 (Starters) are not eligible for this class.

Grade 3 (Graduate) Open to dogs which are not eligible for Grade 1 or 2 or have elected to progress on points from Grade 2 at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grades 4, 5, 6 or 7.

Grade 4 (Novice) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an agility class or three first places in jumping classes at Grade 3 or elected to progress from Grade 3 at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grades 3, 5, 6 or 7.

Grade 5 (Intermediate) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an agility class or three first places in jumping classes at Grade 4 or elected to progress from Grade 4 at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grades 3, 4, 6 or 7.

Grade 6 (Senior) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an agility class or three first places in jumping at Grade 5 at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grades 3, 4, 5 or 7.

Grade 7 (Advanced) Open to dogs which have gained a minimum of 4 first places at Grade 6 at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows, 2 first placed must be gained in agility (not jumping) classes.

Any Size Jumping Open to all sizes of dogs not entered in any other class at this show. Jump heights: max 350 mm.

AWARDS

(To be collected on the day during prize giving).
Trophies to 1st place in all classes, to 2nd place if entries reach more than 30 dogs and 3rd place for more than 50. Rosettes to 10% in all classes. Clear round rosettes in all classes.

All those travelling from afar to our show please bring a rosette sized SAE if you cannot stay for prize giving so any prizes can be sent on. Those that win a trophy either stay and collect them or bring the necessary packaging stamps etc so they can also be sent on.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1Dogs entered at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows must be registered at the

Kennel Club in accordance with Kennel club Regulations for Classification and Registration B. The registration number will be required for each entry.

2Entry fees:£2.25 per dog per class. Carn Brea Agility Club helping members £1.25 per dog per class. Entries without fees will not be accepted.

3Puppies under 18 calendar months of age on the day of the Show are not eligible

for Kennel Club licensed Agility Tests.

4The Committee of Carn Brea Agility Club reserves the right to refuse entries.

5Not For Competition entries will be accepted for dogs’ aged four calendar months andover. Dogs must be Kennel Club registered with their details recorded on the entry form.

6The mating of bitches within the precincts of the Show is forbidden.

7No bitch in season is allowed to compete.

8No person shall carry out punitive corrective or harsh handling of a dog at any time within the boundaries of the Show.

9Dogs must not wear leads in the ring, but a flat plain collar can be worn but must not have any protruding attachments.

10Should a judge be unable to fulfil the appointment to judge, the Committee

reserves the right to appoint another judge.

11No competitor shall impugn the decision of the judge or judges.

12Dogs will be received at any time.

13Kennel Club standard marking regulations will apply.

14The height of jump obstacles will be Large dogs between 550mm and 650mm. Medium dogs between 350mm and 450mm and Small dogs between 250mm and 350mm. The width 1.219m minimum. Any size jumping will be 350mm.

15The height limit for dogs: Those eligible to compete in competitions for small dogs are those measuring 350mm or under at the withers; Medium are dogs measuring over 350mm and under 430mm at the withers; and Large are dogs measuring over 430 mm at the withers.

16A judge at an agility test may not enter for competition a dog, which is recorded intheir ownership or part ownership; or handle a dog at the test at which they are judging.

17Withdrawal of dogs from test:

A dog shall be withdrawn from competition and removed from the test if it is:

a) A bitch which is in season.

b) Suffering from any infectious diseases or contagious disease.

c) Interfering with the safety or chance of winning of an opponent.

d)Of such temperament or is so much out of hand as to be a danger to the safety of any person or other animal.

e)Likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues competing.
