From the A38 either southbound or northbound, take the A513 at Alrewas towards Tamworth. At the first Roundabout take the first exit signed ‘National Arboretum’ follow this road right to the end (it’s a dead end) and take the drive on your right signed ‘The Homestead’ For Sat Nav users please use postcode DE13 7AR and follow directions above on reaching the National Arboretum as the postcode for Homestead will not work! (It’s only 5 minutes from our Catton Hall venue!)

Schedule of Classes

OCTOBER 28TH 2012 NOVEMBER 25TH 2012 DECEMBER 30TH 2012

JANUARY 27TH 2013 FEBRUARY 24TH 2013 MARCH 31ST 2013

Small: Dogs measuring 13.3/4” or less at withers

Jump Height between 10” – 13”

Medium:Dogs measuring over 13.3/4” up to 17” at withers

Jump Height between 14” – 17”

Large Dogs measuring over 17” at the withers

Jump Height between 22” – 25”

Odd’unsDogs which are unable to compete at there own height and young dogs

Over 15 months. Jump height will be Medium, Small & Micro, there will be NO weaves

Definition of classes

Agility will consist of Hurdles, Contacts, Tunnels and Weaves

Jumping will consist of Hurdles, Tunnels and Weaves

Helter Skelter will consist of a free flowing jumping course including Hurdles,

Tunnels & Weaves

Beat the Judge is a secret time set by the judge and will consist of Hurdles,

Contacts, Tunnels and Weaves.

T Y O L (Take Your Own Line) is a fun class, if you go wrong just make sure you only do

each piece of equipment once, and courses may contain contacts.

Steeplechase will consist of a straight forward jumping course including Hurdles &

Tunnels

Circular Jumping...you guessed it, jumping course in circles consisting of Hurdles &

Tunnels

Gamblers will consist of a See Saw, Hurdles, Tunnels and Weaves

There will be no tyre in ANY course

CAPABLE CANINES

SHOW RULES

1. All persons entering this show do so at their own risk. Whilst every care will be taken, Capable Canines and the Owners of the showground will not accept any responsibility for loss, damage or injury caused to persons, dogs or property,
2. Capable Canines reserve the right to refuse entries.
3. Closing date one month before each show date. Please check entry fees as overpayments will go to charity and underpayments will be chased.
4. Owners must sign the declaration on entry form. One entry form per handler please.
5. No bitches in season are allowed to compete and mating is forbidden on showground.
6. You are responsible for cleaning up after all your dogs IN ALL AREASplease.
7. Dogs may wear a flat collar with no tags when competing.
8. No training aides in the ring i.e. titbits/toys/bumbags except in odd’uns classes where you can carry a silent toy.

9. Marking of faults will be as per Kennel Club rules. Any variation to standard classes will be

given by the judge in their briefing.

1. The Judge’s decision is final.
2. No harsh handling either in the ring or exercise area. Any person found doing so will be asked to leave.
3. Judges may run their own dogs for competition when they are not scheduled to Judge.
4. No puppies under 4 months allowed at the ringside
5. In the unlikely event the show has to be cancelled Capable Canines reserve the right to defer expenses incurred by deducting such expenses from the entry fee received.
6. Any costs incurred for cheques returned will be meet by the competitor
7. Please respect our Judges/Ring Party at all times.
8. All competing dogs must be over 18 months of age except Odd’uns which must be over 15 months
9. Dogs will be entered in all three classes per day.
10. There will be no refunds after the closing date.
