Building Services Maintenance Electrician

Location: Ipswich and London

Above all else you must have an interest and passion for engineering and maintenance. You need to be motivated and committed to succeed on the Apprenticeship Programme by demonstrating a willingness to learn and develop as you will be taking instruction throughout the 4 year programme The City & Guilds Electrotechnical Apprenticeship 5357 – Level 3 qualification will be followed over 48 months with an AM2 independent assessment to complete the apprenticeship.

Being a Maintenance electrician in Willis Towers Watson will require you to engage with our Colleagues on a daily basis so you will need to have good verbal and listening skills as well as coming across in a confident manner with a ‘can do’ attitude.

Finally you will need to develop IT skills within the programme maintenance engineering environment and be able to work as part of a team to give a great service to our colleagues.

Duties will include:

  • Maintaining of building services and site infrastructure
  • Operation and maintenance of:
  • L.V switchgear/distribution/power and UPS Systems
  • Lighting and associated control systems
  • Fault finding of various Mechanical and Electrical systems
  • Operation and maintenance of Building Management systems
  • Health & Safety systems and documentation

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 GCSEs graded C or above must include Maths, English and Sciences, or equivalent Level 2 Functional Skill.
