BPHSA…Making a Difference for Our Children

Chapter of North Penn Coordinating Council, Inc.

Dear Parents:

It is time once again to start planning for this year’s Frosty Fest. Unlike in years past, each class will be responsible for putting together one themed basket. Individuals will place bids or purchase tickets in order to win the baskets at the Frosty Fest event on December 13, 2013.

This year, we are looking for quality baskets or items that can be auctioned or raffled. If your class obtains a lot of great donations from either parents and/or local businesses, and you feel that you can make a large and a small basket, then great! However, if you’re struggling to get donations and you think you only have enough for a small basket, then please know, that that is okay. We do not want homeroom parents supplementing the basket with their own monetary donations!!!!

We are asking that this year, you send out an email to your parents asking if any of them own a local business or know someone with a local business that would be willing to donate an item for auction at our event. In the past, we have received donations from the Flyers, the Phillies, the Eagles, Disney on Ice, etc. Most of these types of organizations require 6-8 weeks turnaround time, so you’ll need to start this process right away.

In an effort to include all of the Bridle Path Families, we will have small baskets in addition to the larger ones and/or individual items. In order to win the smaller basket, individuals can purchase a ticket for $1. You can purchase as few or as many tickets as you wish and apply your tickets to whichever basket you like. In order to win the larger baskets, individuals will place bids in a silent auction.

We hope that each child can make a small donation(s) to help complete the class’s baskets. After collection is completed, we will display the completed baskets in the library for all the students to see the week prior to Frosty Fest. This year’s theme for our class basket is______.

We understand the time commitment that some parents are under and we therefore suggest that those parents consider making a cash donation. The cash donations will be used to purchase needed items to complete the baskets. If donating an item, please keep the price tag attached so that we can add up the value of our basket. Price tags are removed before the basket is put together.

Again, we thank you for your participation in this profitable fundraiser. Last year we had a very successful year! With your help, we hope to be even more successful with the 2013 fundraiser. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
