Borough of Croydon (2017) Mens Competition Entries

Dear Member30 October 2016

BOROUGH OF CROYDON (2017) MENS COMPETITION ENTRIES

Having now received the Croydon Borough 2017Competitions Details and Entry Forms. I invite you to consider which of the competitions you would like to enter next seasonand, where relevant, with whom as partners / team mates. I hope many of you will enter at least one or two. It is good experience, can only help your game and it would be marvellous to see further member’ssuccesses following those of 2016, particularlyMichael and Trevor becoming 2016 Pairs Champions.

For those unaware, game in each round must be played within a 2-3 week period, unlike the Surrey Competitions where each round is played on a set day each week until elimination. The BCBA Competitions also start about one month later, in mid to late June.

All entries are made via your Club. The deadline for my submission of member’s entries is 20thDec. Whilst this may sound a long way off, there is a fair amount of administration involved. I am currently in the midst of our Surrey County Affiliations and Competition Entries. I am also away for a week from 25thNovember,so your prompt returns wherever possible please would be appreciated

Arrangements for Croydon Borough 2017 Competition Entries are as follows;

  1. ALL ENTRIES (together with full paymentdue) must be received by me NO LATER THAN 30th NOVEMBER 2016.
  2. No entries will be accepted after that date OR without accompanying full payment.
  3. Payments, where possible please, to be by CHEQUE (payable to “Caterham Bowling Club”)
  4. Payments by cash can ONLY be accepted if delivered to me in person.
  5. For your convenience, I shall be at the Club from 4.45pm-5.45pm on Thurs 10th November, before the Full ClubAGM, to receive your completed entry form and payment if you are in a position to do that by then.

Attached/Enclosed, please find

  1. An Individual Entry Form - To be submitted separately by each player together with their individual total fee payment.

- This is required by me, as Mens’ Secretary, to

(a) enable me to complete the BCBA composite entry forms and

(b) keep for later reference as may be required.

2.An EXAMPLE completed Individual Entry Form as a guide

3.A brief synopsis of each competition (taken from a previous BCBA handbook) for those who may be interested in entering but are new to the Club or BCBA competitions

Please don’t hesitate to contact me should you have any queries/problems regarding any of the above

Best wishes
