2018/2019 Marion Reid Scholarship

The Mountain Sky Area Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry announcesfour$2,500 scholarships for women pursuing their education at accredited institutionsof higher learning in the United States.

Eligible applicants will be:

• Women who are members of a United Methodist Church in the Rocky Mountain Conference or the Yellowstone Annual Conference,
• Attending or intending to attend an accredited institution of higher education in the United States,
• Students with a GPA of 2.8 or greater,
• Students who have not previously received a Marion Reid Scholarship through the Rocky Mountain Conference.

Additional Requirements:

• Complete the attached application, answering all questions. Each response should be between 150-500 words.
• Provide letters of recommendation from each of the categories below:
• A religious leader serving at the United Methodist Church of which you are a member. This can be a pastor, youth minister or youth leader, or other person in leadership of the church.
• The Wesley Director of your current campus ministry (if applicable) or other religious leader of the church you are attending while away at school, an employer, coach, or other personal reference.
• Letters of Recommendation should be emailed directly to Rev. Debra Juarez, with the Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry, . We will send an email upon receipt of the recommendations. It is your responsibility to ensure the recommendations are received by the deadline.

Closing date for applications is Friday, March 23, 2018. Announcement of awards will be madeas soon as applications are submitted and reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. Applications should be emailed to .
