PARTNERS’ PROGRAMME

Dear BMOGS Partners

Having recently visited the new Wedgewood museum I was so impressed that I think we should go there and I have organised a Wedgwood factory tour - it is fascinating.

We can either meet at the Wedgewood Museum at 9.45am on Friday or hire a taxi which will need to leave the Medical Institute at 09.00.

The tour will be followed by a visit to museum shops and lunch in their excellent new café .

After lunch we plan to visit Trentham gardens:

This has had many awards in the last few years for its renovation work and was voted by Alan Titchmarsh in 2015, as one of the countries ‘must see gardens’ !

In October you will see the hot Autumn colours shimmer as light softly hits the planting amongst the 70 flower beds in the Italian Gardens whilst the swathes of coloured grasses in the Rivers of Grass, make a staggering impact .

The refurbishment was in part for this year's Capability Brown Tercentenary Celebrations.

You really will all find this an interesting trip and look forward to welcoming you.

At the end of the day we will join the main meeting at the North Staffordshire Medical Institute and Conference Centre for a guest lecture on the 'History of the Spitfire' a lecture given by Julian Mitchell, nephew of the famous JR Mitchell, the aeronautical engineer who designed the Spitfire.

Then, in the evening, onto Dinner at

Aston Marina (Black Tie or Lounge Suit)

Address:Lichfield Rd, Stone ST15 8QU Phone: 01785 819702

Changing will be available at the Medical Institute.

As well as very brief speeches and hand over of the Presidency to Sue Ward, there will be a little more entertainment than recent years.

Please let me know if you would like to attend the partners programme (places are limited to 12) by 16th September 2016 and also whether you will go direct to Wedgewood or wish to go by Taxi from the North Staffordshire Institute.

Kind regards

Sandie and Shaughn O’Brien
