Biome Power point Project

Create a power point presentation on your assigned biome. Your presentation should incorporate some of the power point tools such as animations and hyperlinks. The powerpoint should include a minimum of 10 slides, but there is no maximum.

Your power point should include the following slides:

  1. An opening title slide: 4 points
  2. name of biome
  3. a picture from the biome
  4. name of student
  5. period
  1. Slides on all the abiotic factors in the biome including: 20 points
  2. Soil Type(deep fertile soil, shallow sandy ect.)
  3. temperature (with data ranges and a graph)
  4. precipitation(with data ranges and a graph)
  5. describe the overall climate- includes temperature, precipitation, and sunlight(what it feels like if you were to visit the biome) with pictures and text.
  1. Slides on where the biome is located: 6 points
  2. Show location on a global map.
  1. Slides with at least 5 plant species found in that area and include the following information: 15 points
  1. Include pictures and 3 facts about each one.
  2. Include their common names and their genus species name.
  1. Slides with at least 5 animal species found in that area and include the following information: 15 points
  1. Of the 5 animal species have an example of each type of consumer (Primary-Herbivore, Secondary and Tertiary-Carnivore-Omnivore-Scavenger) in the biome.
  2. Include pictures and 3 facts about each one.
  3. Include their common names and their genus species name.
  1. Slides with at least one decomposer found in that area and include the following information: 10 points
  1. Include a picture and 2 facts about the decomposer
  2. Include its common name and its genus species name
  1. Slides with an ecological problem found in the area and solutions that are being tried to resolve the problem: 15 points
  2. Include pictures and text.
  1. Slides with 5 fun facts about the biome: 5 points
  2. Include pictures and text.
  1. Slides with citations of websites used for information: 10 points
  2. Please cite websites for pictures under the picture in the power point
