Entry Fees

Obedience Class 5 - €8/£5.50 per dog. All other obedience classes €6/£4 per dog per class. Agility: 1st Entry per dog - €5 / £3.50, each additional entry €1 / 70p per dog per class. A REDUCTION OF €3 PER EXHIBITOR FOR ALL FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS AT OBEDIENCE AND AGILITY SHOWS.

Obedience Class Definitions

Beginners Obedience is confined to dogs & handlers which have not won an Obedience Green Star or 3 or more first prizes in any obedience test under IKC rules, or any Kennel Club recognised by the IKC.

Novice Obedience is confined to dogs which have not been awarded (A) a Green star in any obedience test or (B) four first prizes or more in any obedience test with the exception of Beginners.

Graduate Obedience is confined to dogs which have not been awarded (A) a Green Star in any obedience test or (B) four first prizes or more in any obedience test with the exception of Beginners and/or Novice.

Limit Obedience is confined to dogs which have not been awarded (A) a Green Star in any obedience test or (B) four first prizes or more in any obedience test with the exception of Beginners, and/or Novice and/or Graduate.

Open Obedience is open to any dog or any breed or variety.

Agility Class Definitions

Introductory Agility is for owners, handlers or dogs which have not gained more than four first places in any agility and or jumping class at an IKC licenced event, excluding small dogs.

Preliminary Agility is confined to (A) dogs which have not won5 first prizes in Preliminary Agility (B) dogs which have not won 3 first prizes in Novice Agility or (C) dogs which have not won 2 first prizes in Open.

Novice Agility is confined to dogs which have not won 5 first prizes in Novice Agility or 2 first prizes in Open Agility.

Open Agility and Jumping is open to all dogs or any breed or variety.

Premier Agility is confined to dogs that have won out of Preliminary and Novice Agility.

Small Dogs Agility is confined to dogs measuring 15 inches.

Small Dog Jumping is confined to dogs measuring 15 inches.

SHOW REGULATIONS

1. The show will be held under the Licence, Rules and Regulations of the IKC Ltd.

2. The show will be held at Woodville House, Mullingar.. Show opens at 9.30am. Judging Starts at 10.00am

3. The Entry Fees will be:

Obedience: Class 5 ( Ch Open Obed ) €8 / £5.50 per dog. All other obedience classes €6 / £4 per dog per class.

Agility: 1st entry per dog - €5 / £3.50, each additional entry per dog €1 / 70p per dog per class. A REDUCTION OF €3 PEREXHIBITOR FOR ALL FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS AT OBEDIENCE SHOWS. Catalogue €1

4. BDDTC reserve the right to refuse any entry.

5. All dogs must be registered or transferred with the Irish Kennel Club Ltd., save in the case of Greyhounds duly registered with the Irish Coursing Club. Failure to comply with the above will result in (a) the dog being disqualified from the event AND (b) the exhibitor being fined €127 - the implementation of which shall be a normal office routine. All appeals to the IKC should carry a fee of €6.50 - refundable if the appeal is upheld.

6. Dogs under 6 months of age are not eligible to enter.

7. All wins prior to the day specified for the closing of entries shall be take into account when entering any class.

8. No bitch in season is allowed to compete or be present on the show grounds.

9. The mating of bitches within the show grounds is forbidden.

10. It is the competitors responsibility to be available for their class.

11. Judges & Judging: Judging will commence at 10am in obedience & agility. In the event of any appointed judge failing to keep his/her engagement, the committee shall have the right to

appoint another judge. No claim will be considered in the event of any exhibit being late. No person will be allowed in the judging area except the judge, show officials or an exhibitor taking in a dog for adjudication. The exhibit number for each dog must be clearly displayed by the handler. BDDTC shall not be responsible for the exhibition of any exhibit in the ring.

12. BDDTC will not be responsible for any damage or loss sustained through accident by exhibits, exhibitors or any other person attending the show.

13. In the event of unforeseen circumstances arising, BDDTC in consultation with the judge, reserve the right to make any other arrangements as may be deemed necessary. The IKC Ltd. will be notified of such changes.

14. Each exhibitor is responsible for keeping their dog under proper control at all times.

15. The catalogue will be compiled from the entry forms and while every effort will be made to have the forms correctly interpreted, the committee cannot accept any responsibility for mistakes, which may bring the exhibitors within the purview of the IKC, Rule 15, section 1, or for clerical errors that may occur during compilation.

16. Exhibitors must clean up if their dog fouls the grounds, suitable facilities will be provided for this. Any exhibitor failing to clean up after their dog will be liable to €12 fine.
