Board of Directors Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.

Board members present: Carlos Hernandez,Mauricio Escobar, Pasquale Varone, Allan Maqueiera, Carolina Ciccia and Cindy Miller by phone

Karen Neice represented CAM Accounting.

Cindy Miller made a motion to prohibit members in the audience from speaking at the meeting due to time constraints. Allan Maqueiera2nd. For: Carlos Hernandez, Allan Maqueiera, Carolina Ciccia and Cindy Miller. Against: Mauricio Escobar andPasquale Varone.

Directors Reports

Buildings: No report.

Grounds: Pasquale Varonereuested the Board allow him to set up the hurricane preparation tree trimming with Brickman Group. They are the same company who performed the work last year. After discussion the Board authorized him to move forward.

Pasquale Varone also reported he was going to meet with Romel Rubio regarding the sod project behind the 8000 building.

Pasquale Varone stated he had not received a key to the maintenance room as requested.

Pasquale Varone requested Karen Neice to ask Pablo to buy a new flag.

Pools & Plumbing: No report.

Strategic Plannin Committee: Patricia Ledbetter gave an update on the committee.

Management Report: Karen Neice did not have anything to report as the projects were turned over to the Strategic Committee.

Old Business:

Washer and Dryers:

All board members received a report from the Strategic Planning Committee for review as to the best option for the association on this issue. After review and discussion a motion was presented by Pasquale Varone to sign a contract with Wash, Inc. based on a cost analysis report given by Alex Miller. Karen Neice will submit the contract to the attorney for review prior to signing. Cindy Miller 2nd. For: Carlos Hernandez, Mauricio Escobar, Pasquale Varone, Allan Maqueiera, Carolina Ciccia and Cindy Miller.

Pasquale Varone made a motion to accept the quote for $1,650.00 from Bob Scott Electric to upgrade the electric for the new laundry machines. Carolina Ciccia 2nd. For: Carlos Hernandez, Mauricio Escobar, Pasquale Varone, Allan Maqueiera, Carolina Ciccia and Cindy Miller.

Awnings:

Karen Neice reported there had been no response since she emailed them the signed contract.

New Business:

Pasquale Varone brought up an incident with Alan Markelson. Laurie Lucas the discussed her incident with Alan Markelson.

The board requested Jackie Markelson be sent a letter stating if ther is one more incident involving Alan Markelson that she will be reduced to an Equity member. For: Carlos Hernandez, Mauricio Escobar, Pasquale Varone, Allan Maqueiera, Carolina Ciccia and Cindy Miller.

North Bay Village Officer Steven McVay was invited to the meeting to give a presentation to the members about Smart Water. A sample of water with a dna was given out by the City to protect your valuables. Any member can call the police department at 305-758-2626 and ask for Detective Steve Brent to set an appointment to get the water. You must bring ID.
