ENTRY FEE:$200.00 – if you have not paid please pay as soon as possible

COACHES MEETING:Coaches meeting will be held at 3:30 pm in the Press Box.

ENTRIES:Schools will be allowed entries as per WIAA Regional format with the exception of girls’ and boys’ preliminary 100 meter dash and hurdles immediately following. Also 200 meter dash is run as finals. Please follow current year order of other events and field event rotation. Scratches allowed only on the day of the event. Additions and substitutions will not be allowed at the coaches’ meeting.

Each school may enter a maximum of:

  • One entry per each relay event.
  • A total of 28 individual entries per boys and girls may be entered.
  • There is a maximum limit of three (3) in any individual event.
  • A school not using all eligible entries may not fill those after the deadline.
  • An athlete may enter a maximum of four(4) events, but no more than three (3) running or three(3) field events.

For relays

  • Schools must enter individual names and a seed time.
  • A maximum of six (6) runners may be listed.
  • Being listed as a relay team member counts as one (1) of the four (4) allowed events whether or not the student participates.
  • Coaches have until the Clerk of Course checks in teams to determine which runners will compete.
  • Relay seed times should consist of actual running times of the athletes you think will be running (coaches should estimate if necessary).

FACILITIES:SeymourHigh School Thunder Stadium

  • 1/4 inch spikes will be allowed on the track and runways
  • The discus throw and shot put are located west of the stadium.
  • Pole vault and high jump are on the south end of the track.
  • Long and triple jump are inside the fence and east of the track.

AWARDS:Awards:

  • 1st and 2nd place medals for all events.
  • Schools need to provide honorable mention certificates to their own athletes.

Team champions and awards will be announced as soon as results are finalized

EVENT TIMING:To submit entries, coaches must log onto the Prime Time Timing website at . On the website click on upcoming events and then click on ‘Register for this meet’ to the right of Bay Conference Meet. Follow the instructions provided by Prime Time Timing. PT Timing will seed the meet and post heat/flight sheets by noon, Friday, May 13th. Results will be posted online as soon as they are available after the meet. Coaches must submit final entries by 11:59 am on Wednesday, May 11th.A $50.00 penalty will be charged to each school that misses the entry deadline.

TRAINER:A certified Athletic Trainer will be present and located in the brick storage area south of the high jump throughout the meet

CONCESSIONS:Concessions will be available at the stadium throughout the evening.

RUNNING EVENTS:Running events will start at 4:45 pm.

All running events in open events will be assigned a hip number and only anchor runners in relays will be assigned hip numbers

Qualifying from the trials to finals will be the winner in each heat plus the next fastest time from any heat until all available lanes are filled

Sections will be conducted in the remaining running events based on the “best times” with the slowest runners in the first section and the fastest in the last section

FIELD EVENTS:Field events will start at 4 pm.

Top 9 will advance to the finals in the Shot Put, Discus, Long Jump and Triple Jump

High Jump and Pole Vault starting heights will be determined by counting down using the performances of the eighth (8th) best athlete and subtracting two increments (4” in the High Jump and 1’ in the Pole Vault)

Shot put: order of throws will be as per HFHS Rule 6 and WIAA Field Event Judges Sheet or one attempt per round per athlete (1-1-1).

Instruct your athletes to listen attentively to announcements. Time schedule may move ahead! An approximate schedule for field events is as follows:

4:00 – 5:00 pm

  • Prelims for: Girls Long Jump, Boys Triple Jump, Girls Shot Put and Boys Discus

5:00 – 5:15 pm

  • Warm-ups for Finals of: Girls Long Jump, Boys Triple Jump, Girls Shot Put and Boys Discus

5:15 – 5:45 pm

  • Finals for: Girls Long Jump, Boys Triple Jump, Girls Shot Put and Boys Discus

5:45– 6:00 pm

  • Warm-ups for Prelims of: Boys Long Jump, Girls Triple Jump, Girls Shot Put and Girls Discus

6:00 – 7:00 pm

  • Prelims for: Boys Long Jump, Girls Triple Jump, Boys Shot Put and Girls Discus

7:00 – 7:15 pm

  • Warm-ups for Finals of: Boys Long Jump, Girls Triple Jump, Boys Shot Put and Girls Discus

7:15 – 7:45 pm

  • Finals for: Boys Long Jump, Girls Triple Jump, Boys Shot Put and Girls Discus

SCORING:Team scoring will consist of eight places for all events (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1)

BULLPEN:Please have athletes report to the bullpen on the first call

The bullpen will be located at the south end of the track near the starting line closest to the scoreboard.

TENTS:Team tents can be set up on the grass near the warehouse but not within any painted lines, along the north edge of the field house, or outside the east fence of the track. Do not set up by the flag pole.

RESTRICTED AREAS:Non-participating athletes and spectators will not be allowed inside of the fence surrounding the track. Please inform your parents.

Athletes will not be allowed to linger on the grass inside of the track

EXCHANGE ZONES:Schools will be assigned to have coaches cover exchange zones in the following races:

800 Meter Relay

  • 1st and 3rd exchanges zones: Shawano and West De Pere.
  • 2nd exchange zones: starters.

400 Meter Relay

  • 1st exchanges zone: GB West and Menasha.
  • 2nd exchange zone: GB East and Xavier.
  • 3rd exchange zone: New London and Seymour.

1600 Meter Relay

  • Exchange zone: starters.
  • 3rd and 4th curves: assigned workers.
