This loose-leaf publication, containing information on routeing and areas to be avoided by ships, is intended primarily for Administrations responsible for planning and supporting routeing systems for use by international shipping. This seventh edition (1999) incorporates all amendments up to and including those adopted in December 1998. 1992 Amendments to Ships' Routeing (1993 edition)
Issued in the form of replacement pages for the sixth edition of Ships' Routeing, this publication includes amendments up to and including those adopted by the Maritime Safety Committee at its sixty-first session (December 1992). IMO/ILO Document for Guidance, 1985 (1987 edition)
This edition of the Document for Guidance is an international maritime training guide which was prepared jointly by the International Labour Office (ILO) and IMO to update and replace the Document for Guidance, 1975, published by ILO.
The document gives detailed guidance on matters which should be covered in training programmes for and examination of masters, officers and ratings of all departments aboard ships.

STCW 95 (1996 edition)
STCW 95 contains:
the Final Act of the 1995 Conference of Parties to the 1978 STCW Convention;
resolutions adopted by that Conference;
a complete, consolidated text of the STCW Convention, including its original articles and the revised annex; and
the STCW Code, to which reference is made within the revised annex.
Complete revision of the annex to the 1978 STCW Convention became necessary in order to clarify the standards of competence required, to introduce qualification requirements for trainers and assessors, to provide effective mechanisms for enforcement of its provisions and to allow greater flexibility in the assignment of functions on board ship and thus broaden the career opportunities of seafarers. No amendment was made to the articles of the Convention.
The Convention articles and annex provide the legal framework within which mandatory technical standards contained in part A of the STCW Code are applied. Part B of the Code provides guidance to assist those who are involved in educating, training or assessing the competence of seafarers or who are otherwise involved in applying STCW Convention provisions. While not mandatory, the guidance given has been harmonized through discussions within IMO, involving, where appropriate, consultation with the International Labour Organization. Observance of this guidance will achieve a more uniform application of Convention requirements.
