Balance Sheet Fund Comparison Report

WinTen 2+ now offers user the ability to run a Balance Sheet Fund Comparison in Scribe. Instead of listing individual funds for balance sheet fund comparison, the report groups types of funds into a single column. To run this report, users must first setup their columns for the report.

How to Setup the Balance Sheet Fund Comparison Report

  1. From the Home tab, type “FRW Column Setup” in the search menu. Click on the FRW Column Setupunder the Setupto open the FRW Column Setup screen.
  1. Click the Add Group button and then define the Group Description. In this example we choose “AMP Columns”.
  2. Click the Add Column button and choose a number for ColumnIndex. In this example the Column Index is “1.” Define a ColumnHeader for the report. In this example we choose “AMP 01.”
  3. Click the AddFund button and select the fund you want for this column.
  1. Users may add additional columns for each group. To do simply click the AddColumn button again, assign a Column Index, define a Column Header, and select another fund. In the example below, the ColumnIndex is “2,” ColumnHeader is “AMP 20”, and the fund code is “020-AMP 20.”
  2. To add another group, click the AddGroup button and repeat steps 2-5 as needed. Note: You may have up to ten (10) columns in each group description.

Running the Balance Sheet Fund Comparison Report

  1. From the Home tab, type “reports” in the Search menu. Click on the Reports link under the Accounting header to open the Accounting Reports screen.
  1. On this screen, select the Balance Sheet Fund Comparison report. For FRW Report Format, select BalanceSheet. Choose your ReportEndingDate. For Funds, select the group of funds you want to report on. Lastly, select to IncludePeriod13 or 14.
  1. Click the ViewResults button for a quick preview of the report. Note: Click PrintResults for a quick report to export to Excel.
  2. Click the Scribe button to view a formatted fund comparison report. This report is formatted in a landscape, letter-sized report with word wrapping in columns.
