Kindergarten - 5th grade will meet at 9:30 am on the 2nd & 4th Sunday’s of the month.

“Through the Bible” led by Bonnie Smeal will meet at 9:30 am in the Parlor.

Grades 6th – 12th will meet at 9:30 am in the Youth Room starting next week.

“Going Further” with Rev. Matt will meet at 9:45 in the Library beginning next week.

Youth group is for all youth in grades 6th – 12th. Bring your friends!

CLUB 345 ~ kicks off on Sunday, September 24th from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. This is for all children in grades 3rd – 5th. We meet in the youth room. Bring your friends!

YOUTH GROUP ~ for grades 6th – 12th will meet on Sunday, September 24th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm.

TREE CLIMBING ~for Youth Group and Club 345will be Sunday, October 1st at Camp Cherith. Sign up now to save your spot!

CASTING CROWNS ~ will be at The Chapel on Saturday, October 7th at 7 pm. Tickets cost $40 each. If you would like to go, please let Lisa know.

ACOLYTES needed

Acolytes help bring the light of God into our worship service. We are looking for people, children or adults, to acolyte at the 10:45 service each Sunday. If you are interested in serving, please email Barbara Stucke or call 655-6246. You may also call the church office to let them know.

Missions & OUTREACH

FISH of EAST AURORA ~ the food collection item for the month of Septemberis BAKED BEANS.

Providing fresh healthy fruits and vegetables has been a priority at FISH. They are always appreciative of any donations of these items.

Baker Church will be collecting empty prescription vials once again. These empty vials will be sent to Ohio to be sterilized and then shipped to Africa and other developing countries. The vials need to be empty, have a lid and ALL LABELS REMOVED. Please put them in the designated box in the SAME entrance.

City mission news

Can you help us provide a hot Thanksgiving and Christmas meal for the needy? You can sponsor a family through the City Mission for $5. Your name will go on a plate and be added to the bulletin board so we can see how close we are to our goal of $1000. We only need 200 plates and you can buy as many as you want before or after the church services. You may also put your donations in the offering plate clearly marked for City Mission Holiday Meals. Thanks so much!

The Trustees are calling for “ALL HANDS ON DECK” for a Church Clean-up Day! There are inside and outside jobs for all skill levels. Please save the date - September 30th RAIN OR SHINE. More details to follow….

Ladies bible study

Wednesday Morning Bible Studywill begin their fall session on September 13th at 9:30 am in the Dinette. Rev. Matt will be leading a discussion on the book entitled “The Grave Robber; How Jesus Can Make the Impossible Possible” by Mark Batterson. Everyone is welcome to attend. Wheelchair ministry

Our last Wheelchair Ministry day for the summer, is Sunday, September 17th. We will wheel residents from Absolut Care to church and back on Sunday morning. We always need volunteers to help transport them. Please call Lynn Carlson at 472-5387 to help with this ministry!

Meditation & Yoga

Mind, body and spirit come together in meditation and yoga as a Christian spiritual practice. We will use music and movement to release stress, create moments of calm clarity and invigorate daily prayer and worship. This is for all skill levels. Classes will be on the 1st and 3rd Thursday’s of the month from 10:30 - 11:30 am in the Chapel and will begin on September 21st. First class is free, then $5 per class pay as you go.
