3D Labs Oxygen GVX-1 and GVX-1 Pro configuration steps for use with RainDrop

Windows 2000

  1. Login to your system as an administrator
  2. Download and install WinZip if it isn’t currently installed. This can be found at http://www.winzip.com
  3. Open the driver file “w2k2160849.zip” and extract it to C:\Oxygen_GVX1
  4. Click Start and select “Run”
  5. Type “C:\Oxygen_GVX1\Setup.exe” in the Open dialog box, and click OK
  6. Click “Next” at the “3D Labs Graphics Driver Setup” screen
  7. Click “Yes” to accept the license agreement
  8. Click “Next” to accept the default installation folder
  9. Click “Next” to accept the default Start Menu Program Folder (The install process will run automatically)
  10. Click “Yes” at the “Digital Signature Not Found” prompt to continue driver installation. This will appear two times
  11. At the “Setup has finished copying files to your computer” window, select “Yes I want to restart my computer” and click “Finish” (Your system will reboot)
  12. Login as an administrator after the reboot completes
  13. Right click an empty portion of the desktop and select “Properties”
  14. Click the “Settings” tab
  15. Select “True Color” and set the desktop size to “1024x768”
  16. Click the “Advanced” button
  17. Select the “Monitor” tab
  18. Clear the “Hide modes that this monitor cannot display” checkbox
  19. Select “100 Hertz” for the Refresh Frequency
  20. Click the “3D Labs” tab
  21. Click “OK” at the warning dialog regarding hardware OpenGL
  22. Click the “Advanced” button
  23. Click the “OpenGL Support” tab
  24. Select the “Stereo View Support” check box
  25. Click “OK”
  26. Click “OK” at the “Plug and Play Monitor and 3Dlabs Oxygen GVX1 Properties” dialog box
  27. Click “OK” to apply the new settings
  28. Click “Yes” to keep the new settings
  29. Close the “Display Properties” dialog box
  30. Click “Yes” in the “System Settings Change” dialog box to restart your system

Your system is now configured to view RainDrop in stereo

Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 5 or higher required)

  1. Login to your system as an administrator
  2. Download and install WinZip if it isn’t currently installed. This can be found at http://www.winzip.com
  3. Open the driver file “nt2160866.zip” and extract it to C:\Oxygen_GVX1
  4. Click Start and select “Run”
  5. Type “C:\Oxygen_GVX1\Disk1\Setup.exe” in the Run dialog box, and click OK
  6. Click “Next” at the “3D Labs Graphics Driver Setup” screen
  7. Click “Yes” to accept the license agreement
  8. Click “Next” to accept the default installation folder
  9. Click “Next” to accept the default Start Menu Program Folder
  10. Click “Next” at the “DRIVER INSTALLATION WARNING” Dialog box. This will begin the automatic install process. Please read this screen carefully and follow the instructions carefully
  11. At the “Driver Information” dialog box which will say “DRIVER SETUP IS NOW COMPLETE”, click “Next”
  12. At the “Setup has finished copying files to your computer” window, select “Yes I want to restart my computer” and click “Finish”. (Your system will reboot)
  13. Login as an administrator after the reboot completes
  14. There will be a dialog warning you of “Invalid Display Settings”. Click “OK” to close it
  15. In the “Display Properties” dialog box, select “True Color”, set the refresh frequency to “100 Hertz” and set the desktop size to “1024x768”
  16. Click the “3D Labs” tab
  17. Click the “Advanced” button
  18. Click the “OpenGL Support” tab (If you receive a “3Dlabs Warning”, simply click “OK” to close it)
  19. Click the “Advanced” button
  20. Select the “Stereo View Support” check box
  21. Click “OK”
  22. Click “OK” to close the “Display Properties” dialog box
  23. Click “OK” to apply the new settings
  24. Click “Yes” in the “System Settings Change” dialog box to restart your system

Your system is now configured to view RainDrop in stereo
