Areas for Admin-WG input – and from other experts

Topic / WLTP Section/s / Information/Input required by TRL / Other comments
General issues for discussion/agreement / Whole document / Need to make the document ‘function’ as a European Regulation.
Need to decide how to format the document. In the UNECERegulation format or in EU Regulation format (e.g. with numbers in European format. Decimal comma etc.)?
Type 1 test. Should this be changed throughout to “Type I” to align with R.83? Transposed Regulation will cover test for CO2 emissions. Will this be OK for alignment with R.83?
Also, the WLTPGTR covers CO2 emissions, fuel/electric energy consumption and electric range (Type VII test/R.101).Should all of this be transposed? / Change references to vehicle categories (i.e. from category 1 & 2 to M1 and N1).
HEV Utility Factors. Being developed by ACEA. / Annex 8, Appendix 5. / For document structure and editing, TRL need to understand scale and level of detail in this new element.
Schedule for availability of this detail to be discussed/agreed.
Will this be a simple inclusion into Annex 8 Appendix 5 or are there issues that will need to be agreed at an EC level?
European ambient temperatures corrections. Work being led by Audi/BMW and PSA. / Annex 4, Paragraph 4.1.1.2. / For document structure and editing, TRL need to understand scale and level of detail in this new element.
Schedule for availability of this detail to be discussed/agreed.(NB: a provisional date of the end of March has been provided by PSA (e-mail 27-Jan-14))
The current WLTP requirements are a standard test at 23 °C ± 5 °C.
A supplemental test is currently being developed using regional temperature of 14 °C.
Supplemental test is used to correct the CO2 emission only.
Confirmation needed as towhetherit is only the supplemental test that needs consideration - or does the standard test temperature range also have to be considered?
Correction for Test Cycle Flexibilities. Work being undertaken by TUG and TNO / Annex 1. / For document structure and editing, TRL need to understand scale and level of detail in this new element.
Schedule for availability of this detail to be discussed/agreed. / Do we link directly with the ISO standard?
Reference Fuel Specifications / Annex 3 / Need to agree which reference fuels are to be included. Do we align with R.83.
Tyre rolling resistances / Discuss and agree any changes that need to be made.
Alignment with regional procedures (e.g. EU 1235/2011). Carry over Euro 6 detail.
Test mass of the vehicle – / Annex 4. Paragraph 4.2.1.3.1. / The WLTPspecifies the test mass witha 15% load for a passenger vehicle and a 28% load for a goods carrying vehicle. Usage “to be decided at regional level”. Load is defined as GVW minus (running mass + 25kg [+ optional equipment]).
Discuss and confirm whether current WLTP text is sufficient, or whether any amendments are required for regional variations.
Surveillance issues / To be developed and included at future stage
