Reminder that you MUST . . .
* Read and follow "Guidelines for Kairos Volunteers." (To be provided by a team member)
* Bring your Texas Drivers License (you won’t get in without it).
* Do NOT bring tobacco products of any kind on TDCJ property (even the parking lot)
* Do NOT bring a cell phone into the unit – this is a major offense.
* Do not wear white clothing - bright colors are preferred. Loose fitting jeans OK, no shorts.
You may bring your cross, lanyard and name tag. (If Cursillo, Emmaus, Via de Christo, etc.)
No physical contact between residents and the 4th-day Community is allowed -- no shaking hands, hugs, etc
No camera use allowed inside or outside the unit. If driving, you can carry your keys.
From Palestine, FM 320 North from US 79 to intersection with FM 645. Turn right to Tennessee Colony, turn left on FM 321 to sign to Michael & Coffield (approx. 3/4 mile).
From Dallas, I-45 to Corsicana. Turn left on Hwy 287 toward Palestine. Turn right on FM 645 to Tennessee Colony. At the 5-way stop, turn hard right, then turn left on FM 321 to sign to Michael & Coffield (approx. 3/4 mile, turn left). If there is a line of cars at the gatehouse go to the left side.
[If Hwy 287 is closed at Corsicana, continue on I-45 to Fairfield. Turn left on Hwy 84 then left on Hwy 79 to Tucker and continue as Austin directions.]
From Athens, Hwy 19 to Montalba (FM 321). Turn right, cross US 287 to Tennessee Colony turn right on FM 321 to sign to Michael & Coffield (approx. 3/4 mile).
From Austin/San Antonio, US 79 to Tucker, turn left on FM 645 to Tennessee Colony. Turn left on FM 321 to sign to Michael & Coffield (approx. 3/4 mile).
From Houston, I-45 north to Buffalo. Turn right on Hwy 79 to Tucker and continue as Austin directions
