This is not an employment application. You are applying to serve as a volunteer research collaborator with the “Goats in the Woods” project for the period of June to early October 2003. This application will help us best match goat producers with woodlot owners to work together as a team. Please refer to the attached description of team tasks, knowing that the responsibility will be met through one or both team members. This application will remain confidential to the project through personnel of Cornell University and Penn State University.

Basic Expectations for Goats-in-the-Woods Research Team Collaborators

·  Become familiar with the team handbook provided to volunteers by the project

·  Attend a free one day training course at the Arnot in early June (tentatively 4th or 12th). Costs of travel will be reimbursed.

·  Work as part of your team to ensure goats are maintained in compliance with university protocols

·  Participate in a late summer or early fall field day for others interested in the project
