Short Story Project: Short Story Presentation

Choose one of the following stories to do your short story project on. Do not choose a story that a classmate is doing. All stories can be found as PDF’s on Mr. Reed’s webpage under the Topics/Materials link.

Short Story Project Requirements:

1. A short story notes page complete with the title, the author, the setting, the characters, Lit terms, vocabulary, and a paragraph or more summary.

2. At least 15 reading questions for your short story. Write the answers to your reading questions at the bottom of your paper after you have written the questions.

3. A reading quiz consisting of 10 quiz questions and a five point bonus question (the bonus question should be the most difficult one). Type the answers to the quiz at the bottom of the paper after you have written the questions.

4. A small poster sized drawing/depition for the cover of your story. The poster should include the title, the author and a picture that goes along with the story.

5. Five-minute presentation. You are going to present your story to the class: show the class your poster, give the class a short summary of what happened in the story and choose one of the Lit. terms you found in the story to explain to the class. You need to get your own poster paper. If you are having trouble getting poster paper, come see meand we will work something out.
