Wellness Coach – Supervise weight room; Educate, Assist and Train Members regarding best practices to ensure their safety and success; Maintain equipment and materials assigned to my area of supervision.
Youth Wellness- Provide direction, education and training to youth in various activities to help them engage with staff and other members in positive and engaging ways that encourage youth to develop independence as their parents or guardians workout with other adults. Youth are instructed and guided in weight lifting and various games while participating in different exercise contests.
YMCA Camp Thunderbird:
Chesterfield, VA June 2011 – August 2012
Camp Counselor- Worked with youth; directed youth in various activities throughout the day; provided encouragement, support and counsel when appropriate; helped youth grow in confidence and self-worth.
Activity Specialist – Directed activities of Rock Climbing and Zip Line Stations; educated youth regarding safety and proper use of equipment which ensured our youth would enjoy these activities without incident or injury.
