Bechtel Parsons Blue Grass, a joint venture is seeking qualified bidders to design, fabricate, test, inspect, assemble and deliver Jib Cranes for the Blue Grass Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant (BGCAPP) at the Blue Grass Army Depot in Richmond, Kentucky.

Scope of Work Summary

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for four (4) types of Jib Cranes.The first type arewall-mounted Jib Cranes, cantilever type, 1 and 2 ton capacity with 10 and 14 feet boom lengths, respectively, complete with electrically powered hoist and trolley. The second types are wall-mounted articulating Jib Cranes with 16 feet long boom and ½ ton capacity electric hoists. The third type includes floor-mounted, cantilever type, ¼ ton capacity, Jib Cranes with spans of 6 feet and 8’-6” complete, with electrically powered hoist and trolley. The fourth type is a non-powered, chain hoist and trolley, wall mounted cantilever jib crane with 14 feet long boom and a 3 ton capacity. The Jib Cranes shall comply with ASME B30.11, ASME B30.16, ASME HST-4, and other applicable industrial codes and standards.

To be considered for this or other future work at BGCAPP your company must be registered in our Supplier and Contractor Portal at submit interest for being considered for this procurement, please send an e-mail with your company name, DUNS number, contact name, address, phone number, and any small business classifications your company meets to . Only pre-qualified offerors will be invited to submit a proposal on this procurement.

Please respond and provide the following prerequisites in your e-mail:

1. Are you able to furnish the complete scope of equipment?

2. Provide experience and references in supplying Jib Cranes.

3. Provide Dunn and Bradstreet number for the location a Purchase Order would be issued to.

4. Provide current work load as a % of capacity and your total shop capacity.

5. Do you have a formal documented quality program commensurate with the scope of supply? Or, do you have a current ISO-9000 program?

6. Are you certified to applicable codes and/or standards, e.g. AISC, ASME, ASTM, AWS, CMAA, NEMA, NFPA, UL

7. Based on NAICS code of 333923 with a business size standard of 500 employees or less, does your company qualify as a Small Business by the U.S. Government?

As a minimum, the manufacturer/supplier shall have 10 years experience specializing in manufacturing of Jib Cranes.

Specify whether your company meetsthe 10 year experience requirement for the following (8-10):

8. Design and fabrication of Jib Cranes for industrial or manufacturing facilities

9. Design and fabrication of structures for seismic loads

10. Performing structural, dynamic, stress and seismic analysis and design calculations

The manufacturer/supplier shall have the following (answer Yes or No):

11. QA/QC program

12. Certified welders per AWS

13. Existing Non Destructive Examination (NDE) Program
