22ndMarshall County Fair Parade

Wednesday, July 19, 2017 6:00 p.m.

The time has come again for the kick-off parade for the Marshall County Fair.

The response we have had in the past 21years has been fantastic. We hope you plan to join us again this year.

Enclosed is your registration for the parade. Please fill it out and return to the address below. The registrations are put in the order received, so the earlier we receive your registration the closer to the front of the parade you will be. Numbers will be sent out to you two weeks before the parade. There will be no registrations accepted after Monday July 17 at 4:30 pm. You do not need to re-register the night of the parade as you will already have your number. Please display your number on the left hand side of your unit so the judges can see it. Winners will be posted at the fair office on the fairgrounds later that evening. Checks will be mailed to the winners.

We will again line up behind the schools. There will be someone in front of the High School directing you to your assigned spot. Parking is tight so stay as close to your number as possible. Stakes with your number will be along the highway and around the school. The parade will again start behind the High School, proceed down the west side of the city buildings straight north to Johnson Ave., then east to the fairgrounds. There are restroom facilities behind the school. Again this year there are no fees to participate. However a donation to the Grandstand fund would be greatly appreciated!

No candy or other objects can be thrown from the vehicles. Walkers are encouraged to hand out candy. There will be no throwing water balloons or shooting water guns allowed. Thiswill be strictly enforced.

The parade will go on rain or shine. In case of severe weather, it would be cancelled.

We hope you will join us for another fun evening. We look forward to receiving your registrations.

If you are interested in driving your classic car in front of the spectators, we will have a separate running of classic cars 15 minutes before the parade starts. There will be no prizes awarded but you will drive the route at your own speed. Classic cars will line up on the north side of the courthouse.
