Support the Ukrainian industry and SMEs

The importance of this annual event was underlined by speakers from politics, trade and industry at the official opening session on 19 April. “The target of elcomUkraine during the past 20 years has always been to support the Ukrainian industry and Ukrainian SMEs to improve their production facilities and to challenge the Ukrainian government on its way to modernize public infrastructure and introduce energy efficiency in all walks of life”, so Martin März, Managing Director of fairtrade and Mr Valerii Pekar, President of Euroindex.

Official German participation

The official German participation was presented by the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and supported by ZVEI – the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association. Mr Sohéil Moghtader from ZVEI points out: “elcomUkraine is a widely-known brand name as a power engineering and electrical engineering trade show, which is also well-known in Germany. Although charged by the challenging economic situation Ukraine still remains a very important and interesting market for German companies. This is also shown by latest statistics: Ukrainian total imports of electro-technology sums up to an amount of 2.6 billion Euro in 2014, after 4.1 billion Euro in 2013. Germany is one of the major supplier countries. Ukrainian producers have increased their exports of electro-technology to Germany by 37.4 % in 2014 to 384 million Euro.”
