Match Length:

All matches will be best of 3 games to 25 with the deciding game, if necessary, to 15. There is no cap!!!

**TEAMS MISSING ANY OFFICIATING ASSIGNMENT WILL BE PENALIZED ONE POINT PER MINUTE LATE, UP TO 25 POINTS, ON THEIR NEXT MATCH.

Junior Divisions:

2-day Divisions: GIRLS 14 USA, 14 Club, 13 USA, 12 USA andBOYS 18 Club, 17 Club, 16 Club and 15 Club

3-day Divisions: All GIRLS 18's, 17's, 16's, 15's and 14 Open

*2-day divisions run Sat-Sun and 3-day divisions run Fri-Sun!

**Divisions must have at least 8 teams entered or two divisions may be combined.

***No matches will be scheduled to begin later than 8:30pm on Friday

****Foreign teams are NOT eligible to particiate in any Bid Divisions (listed above) at the Mizuno Boston Volleyball Festival.

All girls' divisions will have formats designed to guarantee each team in 18's, 17's, 16's, 15's and 14 Open divisions at least 7 matches

Allteams in the Boys and remaining Girls USA and Club divisions at least 5 matches.

Sunday is bracket play and last matches on each court scheduled for 2 or 3pm.

A full tournament schedule will be posted onSportWrench nolater than 8pm on Wednesday, February 28th.

DIVISION FORMATS:

All girls' divisions will have formats designed to guarantee each team in 18s, 17s, 16 Open, 15 Open and 14 Open divisions at least 7 matches and all teams in the Boys and remaining Girls USA and Club divisions at least 5 matches.

Tie-breakers

There will NOT be any tie-breaking games played for the Junior Girls 12-17's and 18 Club divisions or the Boys Divisions as we guarantee 5 to 7 matches to each team in this event, depending on the division. In the case of a tie, the teams will be ranked by head-to-head result (in case of a 2-way tie), or, for 3-way or larger ties, set percentage, and then, if necessary, point percentage.

For 18 Open, 18 USA, and 18 American we will follow the tie-breaking procedures outlined in the current 18's Qualifier Manual which can be found on the JVC Web site at:

Spectators can register for their wristband in advance for a discounted price online before the event at: SportWrench.This link will also work during the event to avoid the longer lines on site!

Spectator Wristband Pickup and Registration Hours:

Friday, March 2nd: 7:30am - 9pm

Saturday, March 3rd: 7am - 6pm

Sunday, March 4th: 7am - 1pm

Wristband pick-up/purchase locations:

▪Spectators who register in advance online may pick up their wristband at spectator registration outside of Hall A, beginning at 7:30am Friday,using a printed or mobile copy of their receipt for scanning.

▪Spectators who did not register in advance online or need to register in personMUST be purchased in the Westin attached to the convention center (BCEC) just outside the skybridge doorway connecting the two facilitiesstarting at 7am each day.

USA National High Performance Tryout

-There will be a USA Volleyball National Team/NERVA High Performance Girls tryout on Thursday evening of March 1 in Hall C.

-There will be a USA Volleyball National Team/NERVA High Performance Boys tryout on Friday evening of March 2 in Hall A.

Olympic Athletes and Sitting Court

This year’s event willhost a sitting court in the center of Hall B near the BCSkybridge. Teams and spectators are welcome to try sitting volleyball and compete against some ofour Paralympic athletes from the Rio Games!

Tournament Sites

All matches will be played in Halls A, B, C, and the Ballroom in the BCEC on 97 courts. There will be over 30 vendors present, including Mizuno, Pura Vida, First to the Finish, Ultra Ankle, Gatorade and Molten!

Playing Facility Rules

-Coolers and outside food and drink are not allowed inside the Convention Center except for individual sports drinks and water.

-Outside chairs are also not allowed in the BCEC. We have about 70 spectator chairs per court provided.
