TIME: Line up at 3:30PM. Parade begins at 4:00PM.

LOCATION: Line up on John Street,parking lotby Grandview Golf Course

ALL drivers and riders MUST adhere to the rules on the attached page. Failure to do so will result in IMMEDIATE removal from the parade lineup.

I, the driver or main person responsible for the submission of the float, have carefully read the attached list of rules and guidelines. I understand that if I am unable to follow these rules, I will be immediately removed from the parade lineup and may face further legal or administrative action. If I have vehicle passengers or float riders, I have also explained these rules to them.

Rules/Guidelines for all students, drivers, passengers and riders

of vehicles or floats in the 2017 Hortonville Homecoming Parade.

NOTE: THE PARADE ROUTE HAS CHANGED! See route info below

  1. BAND STUDENTS should give 1st consideration to marching with the band in the parade.
  2. All vehicles and floats must be in legal, safe operating condition.

This year’s Homecoming theme is: “Hawaiian Luau” But,entries may be decorated in any theme to promote URA Polar Bear, other school activities, a business or somethingin the community.

  1. Riders are NOT allowed to stand on floats (unless it has sides).
  2. Riders must be seated completely on floats; legs may not dangle from the sides.
  3. Riders in vehicles must wear seat belts.
  4. Riders in beds of trucks MUST be seated IN the bed of the truck. They may not sit on the rails of the bed. You may place bales of hay in the beds for rider seating.
  5. Candy or items may be handed out.
  6. Drivers are NOT allowed to honk horns or rev engines while waiting in line.
  7. Vehicles may not play music that is loud enough to disturb the vehicles/floats in front of or behind them.
  8. At no time may inappropriate music be played.
  9. All approved entries will be assigned a position in the parade lineup. If you would like a special position in the parade lineup, please specify your request on the entry form.
  10. All approved entries must have their vehicles/floats in the Parking lot area on John Street NO LATER THAN 3:30P.M.on the day of the parade to be placed in order.

Parade Route: Begins on John St., by Grandview Golf Course, right on Olk Street, right on Nash, left on East Cedar, right on N. Olk, left on Towne Drive, left on Warner, left on Nash and ending back at John St.
