Experience the Movies: Intro to Film Studies

Calling all movie and film enthusiasts!!! Have you ever wondered what makes a movie good? Have you ever wanted to create your own film? LISA AAA's Intro to Film Studies students will learn what the many characteristics are for each genre of movie and learn how to create their own film. If you liked last year, you’re going to LOVE this year! All new movies and genres – including claymation!

Hooked on Crocheting
Instructor: Jessica Burdick Room: FACS Classroom 131 Class Cap: 20
In this course you will learn the basics of crocheting, including but not limited to, the chain, single crochets, double crochets, and slip stitches. You will work at your own pace making many items of your choice, such as accessories, gifts, apparel, and household items. If you are a skilled crocheter do not hesitate to join, as this course can be tailored to fit your needs.

Digital Photography: How to Capture Your Surroundings
Instructor: Tom Leonard Room: 312 Mac Lab Class Cap: 20
Students will explore digital photography, and discuss creative methods for capturing meaningful photos. This class is a great opportunity for BRMS Travel Club students traveling to Paris in the fall to learn more about capturing their surroundings in a meaningful and artistic way.

Creative Space: Let’s Paint!

Would you like to have the time, space and materials to explore new methods of painting?! Pairing student choice with creativity, this class will provide the opportunity for students to explore a variety of techniques and mediums, from watercolor to acrylic. Students will have the freedom to choose the content of their artwork, and will collaborate with the instructor to explore and develop new techniques and ideas.

All Mixed Up!

If you're into art that mixes things up a bit and involves a littleexperimentation, then this is the class for you!Explore the design and creation of smash/doodle books, stir insome bottle cap creatures, concoct some image transfer madnessand throw in some mixed media ornaments for the grand finale!

Music Appreciation
Instructor: David Saccardi Room: 274 Class Cap: 20
This class will explore how you can listen to a piece of classical music and not think, "BORING!". This class will look at music from different time periods of musical history and different things that you can listen for when you attend a concert of classical music. You do not need any music experience to take this class. All are welcome!

Deck the Halls

Don't be a cotton-headed ninnymoggins! Come smile (because smiling our favorite!) and join our Deck the Halls class where we'll be creating unique, seasonal decorations for the halls of BRMS for the upcoming seasons! Let's spread the seasonal cheer throughout our school! If you're crafty, creative, or just like having fun with candy canes and syrup, come join us!

Advanced SolidWorks Workshop *Must apply with Mr. Christensen*
Instructor: Kris Christensen Room: 101 Class Cap: 10 Workshop: Tuesday/Thursday ONLY
This SolidWorks Course is going to take your basic background knowledge, and use of the software to move you to an advanced level. In this process, we will be using a lot of different resources for learning and create multiple, advanced 3D renderings. Your most advanced work will be printed in multiple views on photo paper and also 3D printed. Only those that have a background with SolidWorks should apply.

Classes meet Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:00-4:30pm starting Thursday, October 15th, 2015. Classes will run from October 15th to December 10th, 2015 (Showcase from 6:00-7:30pm).

YOU MUST HAVE A RIDE ARRANGED AFTER CLASS AT 4:30PM.
