If the student participated each week, do not report any absences.

If student does not meet the above attendance criteria, click the appropriate box for the week "missed" and place a check indicating non-attendance for that week. If there are no absences to report, place a check in the "No Absences to Report" box at the bottom of the roster.

It is possible for students who were not compliant with Attendance Standards to become compliant after faculty have submitted their reports. Once the 4 and 10 week reporting deadlines have passed, faculty members are unable to make corrections directly within the reporting system. Faculty members should email when:

  • You need to notify the college of an error on a report that has already been submitted.
  • You wish to indicate that a student is now considered in compliance in your course as of a certain date. This is not changing what you documented for previous weeks. However, it is acknowledging that the student is now meeting the necessary attendance criteria.

When emailing the Financial Aid Office, please include the student’s name, Schoolcraft College ID #, and the course name, number and section number of your course.

Occasionally, it may be necessary for the Financial Aid office to contact the faculty member to get more information (including attendance data for Michigan Colleges Online students since that is not collected via the SC Federal Absence Reporting). You may be asked to provide things like:

  • A student’s last date of attendance/participation
  • The last date on which you received an assignment./assessment from the student.

The student is responsible for notifying the instructor of their financial aid status.
