Fire on campus. / All members of the committee/society/visitors/ members of the public. / 3 / 2 / 6 / -Activities/meetings held in YSJ building with automatic fire detection/breakglass points and signed evacuation routes.
-All members to be aware of how to raise the alarm, safe evacuation routes and location of assembly point on Front lawns
-All members to make sure that no Fire Escape routes are blocked during or after meetings/activities.
-All members know not to use/bring in any items which could trigger the fire alarm -eg naked flames/smoking/ smoke machines/ steam in classrooms etc. / 3 / 1 / 3
Wet Floors / All members of the committee/society/visitors/ members of the public. / 2 / 2 / 4 / -Ensure that all members/participants in the meetings are aware of any identifies wet floor signs.
-Report a situation where a wet floor sign may be needed.

Spillages on campus. / All members of the committee/society/visitors/ members of the public. / 2 / 2 / 4 / -Cleaned up as found around the university campus.
-Food/Drink are only consumed in designated areas of the campus.
-Wet floor signs can be used if spillage is caused by a participant of the society or will alert to a previous spillage.
-Ensure that all members leave the classroom as it is found after each society meeting. / 1 / 1 / 1
Medical Conditions. / All members of the committee/society/visitors/ members of the public. / 3 / 2 / 6 / -Have the information of the committee/society members about any medical conditions.
-Ask for disclosure from new members about any medical conditions (i.e. asthma) which may be useful to be aware of and record these.
-Check that any specific equipment (i.e. inhaler) is present on the person/s with the medical condition at their discretion. / 3 / 1 / 3
Electrical Items / All members of the committee/society/visitors/ members of the public. / 3 / 2 / 6 / -Use SU or YSJ owned inspected and PAT tested electrical items wherever possible
-Any electrical items brought in should be inspected and PAT tested
-Usual care to be taken in spotting damaged plugs/leads/casings etc and to stop using anything felt to be unsafe

-Have a walking bus system in which people walk together where possible to get home safely.
-Set up a system whereby members text/write on Facebook group if they need to travel home alone.
-No leaving drinks unattended if the meeting ventures to the students union. / 2 / 1 / 2
