YMCA Dublin has been working with young people in Dublin’s Inner City for over 160 years. We run programmes in youth work, education, family support, community childcare and community employment. To support our services, we run two social enterprises – Dublin YMCA Gyms in Aungier Street and Sandymount, and YMCA Childcare in Aungier Street.

Due to the success of our existing programmes and our social enterprise initiatives, we are looking to recruit a Programme Development Manager to assist in developing and rolling out new and existing programmes. Thiswill be a one year contract initially with renewal subject to funding.

You will report to our CEO and will work with the senior management team in developing, establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with external partners to ensure the effectivedevelopment and delivery of funded and future funded projects. As well as working with YMCA colleagues to drive projects forward and tobring the best out in people in line with Association’s ethos and mission.

Strategic input into thedevelopment of the new programmes will be key.

You should be able to demonstrate the following key skills:

High level of motivation and the ability to work on your own initiative

An ability to work closely with all stakeholders [including senior management, youth workersvolunteers]

Roles and Responsibilities;

Your duties & responsibilities will be wide and varied. You will have the opportunity to put your stamp on this role and have a real impact on the lives of children and families in Dublin. It goes without saying that you will have a strong sense of social justice and a desire to play your part in influencing change through social policy. Some of your duties andresponsibilities will include:

● Preparing briefing documents and case studies for meetings, pitches and bids.

● Directing the development and operation of assigned programme areas, focussing on

growth, innovation, and new collaborations.

● Driving new projects and program ideas.

● Working with the current YMCA Youth Work Department and other key YMCA Staff.

● Taking responsibility for the recruitment and management of volunteers in Dublin YMCA.

● Taking responsibility for the logistics around key youth and community events,

including annual family fun day, community event, summer camps and annual

fundraiser.

● Planning, implementing and evaluating an audit of need of the local area and Dublin YMCA.

● Taking the lead on working with our Corporate Partners and developing new relationships with Corporate partners.

● Producing and presenting recommendations for development to the senior management

team for approval

Proven Experience:

Third Level Education is desirable. We welcome applications from recent graduates (at degree or master’s degree level) who can demonstrate relevant skills developed through participation in part-time work, voluntary work and extra-curricular activities during college or post-graduation.

We also welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate relevant skills developed through professional work experience.

Salary: €33,000 per annum
