XMAS MEETING 9TH DECEMBER 2017
We had a great start to the season with our first meeting held in November on a perfect sunny day with a large crowd and we look forward to continuing to provide family friendly entertainment with a day at the races.
With the end of year fast approaching it is appropriate that our December meeting is used by many families and employers for a get together or work xmas function. This is always one of our most popular meetings and the number of groups booking marquees seems to be growing each year. The beautiful Emu Plains Reserve and the relaxed atmosphere, as well as the added attraction of watching the races, ensures a good day out for all ages.
With a large number of families attending our focus is providing something for everyone. Our childrens playground, face painting, amusements and entertainment ensure the children are well catered for. This enables families to have a fun day out for a reasonable price whilst relaxing in the treed surroundings
Our racetrack is in superb condition and kept to a high standard by our dedicated Committee members. Trainers and Jockeys continue to praise the condition of the track that provides a safe surface for the benefit of the horses and racing.
The Committee has spent some time and money making improvements around the grounds and its all looking fantastic. We have improved storage near the clubrooms and improved the picnic table area for patrons that book these.
Our partnership with Peninsula Party Hire has ensured smooth booking procedure for those who book sites and marquees.
