Job Summary

The position objectives for the role of Commercial Cleaner are;
·  To organize and undertake the implementation of priorities from Prestige Property Services.
·  To ensure that all cleaning is carried out with a high level of, safety, efficiency and quality.
The incumbent must possess Certificate II in Cleaning Operations (or willingness to participate in training); a current driver’s license (car); a first aid certificate (or willingness to participate in training).

Reporting Relationships

Employee reports directly to the Service Manager, Prestige Property Services.

This position requires the incumbent to work at heights, use hazardous chemicals and materials, undertake lifting and other physically demanding tasks, and travel across a number of sites/locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities
1. Have an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of cleaning incl:
a)  Assessing and deciding on the best cleaning plan/action to implement.
b)  Cleaning and maintaining hard floor surfaces.
c)  Cleaning and maintaining carpeted floors.
d)  Glass and window cleaning.
e)  Furniture, fittings and room cleaning.
f)  Cleaning and maintain wet areas.
g)  Cleaning and maintaining external surfaces.
h)  Use of microfiber cleaning.
2. Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, licensing requirements, codes of practices and industry standards associated with cleaning operations.
3. Perform all activities in compliance with relevant OHS legislation and Prestige Property Services Safety Management Plan.
4. Ability and willingness to deal on a range of levels with the general public, and other clients in a polite and courteous manner in accordance with Prestige Property Services ‘s Policies and Procedures and Code of Conduct.
5. Good working knowledge of service equipment used in cleaning procedures.
6. Good working knowledge of chemicals and other hazardous goods used in cleaning procedures.
7. Ability to use a range of cleaning safely.
8. Ability to work in physically demanding environments including heights.
9. Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
10. Show exceptional time management and planning skills.
11. Use technology to manage client and property information, service bookings, source information, and communicate.
12. Show exceptional customer service focusing on customer satisfaction.
13. Undertake other duties as required.

Selection Criteria

Essential
1. Previous experience in cleaning, in industrial and commercial environments.
2. Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
3. Ability to problem solve.
4. Knowledge of relevant Workplace Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
5. Customer service focus.
6. Certificate II in Cleaning Operations (or willingness to participate in training).
7. Current valid driver’s licence.
Desirable
1. First Aid certificate (or willingness to participate in training).
2. Ability to read and interpret building and site plans.
3. Be physically fit.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
