  • All village halls are somewhat run down and dilapidated. Each village has its own aspirations to either a new village hall or an improved exiting hall:
  • Thorney Toll wish to continue fund-raising to refurbish, extend and ensure DDA compliance of the hall to secure the future of the hall and future fundraising events.
  • Guyhirn wish to build a new community centre due to lack of parking and facilities at existing village hall.
  • The residents of Wisbech St Mary wish to have improvement to the village community centre the form of which to be decided by reference to the community.
  • Although there are no immediate plans for Murrow’s village hall, there will be ongoing upkeep & maintenance issues.
In all cases the plans for the village halls include provision for sport, recreation, social activities, health care and public information for all age groups.
