Welcome to Technical Bulletins

Technical Bulletins is the new process designed to notify users in the Diagnostics Service Organization about product announcements. This system is intended to replace the TIUS Lotus Notes database.Technical Bulletins can include information about part availability, MOD releases, Applications information, etc. Here is an example of a Technical Bulletin form:

Subscribers in the Technical Bulletins system receive an email from SharePoint when a new bulletin is available to view. Here is an example of an email that is received when a Technical Bulletin is released:

Viewing a Technical Bulletin

There are two methods to view a released Technical Bulletin:

  1. Select the “View <Bulletin name>…” link in the email you receive. In example provided above, select “View AB_PS20152012 – alert me test.doc…” to view the bulletin. You will need to be connected to the corporate VPN to use this method.
  2. Or download the bulletin in AirWatch by navigating to Airwatch Content > Diagnostics > Technical Bulletins > [Product name] > [All, Service, or Applications]. A VPN connection is not required.

Managing Technical Bulletin Email Subscriptions

Former TIUS subscribers will automatically have their subscription transferred over to Technical Bulletins as Alerts. There is no further action required, however you can modify your Technical Bulletin Alert settings at any time by visiting the Diagnostics Technical Support and Applications SharePoint site. You can change the subject and frequency of the updates. You must create an Alert for each discipline-specific Technical Bulletins folder.

  1. Visit while connected to the corporate VPN.
  2. Select the desired discipline library.
  3. Select the check box next to the Technical Bulletins folder to receive notifications for both Service and Applications bulletins. If you only want to receive Service or Applications, select Technical Bulletins, then select the checkbox next to the Applications or Service folder.
  4. From the Documents ribbon at the top of the screen, select Alert Me.
  5. Select Set alert on this document to create a new alert.
  6. Or select Manage My Alerts to view all Alerts that are currently configured for your email address, then select the Alert you wish to modify.
  7. The Alert configuration page appears. Configure the settings as follows.
  8. Alert Title: Enter the name of the Alert. This name is used in the subject line of the emails you receive.
  9. Send Alerts To: Enter your name.
  10. Delivery Method: Select E-mail.
  11. Change Type: SelectAll changes.
  12. Send Alerts for These Changes: Select Anything changes.
  13. When to Send Alerts: Set as preferred.
  14. Send notification immediately will send the email as soon as the Technical Bulletin is published.
  15. Send a daily summary will send a single email with all Technical Bulletins released in the selected folder during the day. Select a time to determine when the email is delivered.
  16. Send a weekly summary will send a single email with all Technical Bulletins released in the selected folder during the week. Select a day and time to determine when the email is delivered.
  17. Select OK.
  18. Repeat for all required Technical Bulletins folders.

Searching for a Technical Bulletin

To search in SharePoint:

  1. Visit the Dx Technical Support and Applications SharePoint site.
  2. In the top right corner, change “All Sites” to “This Site”.
  3. Type your search criteria in the search box and then press enter.

To search in AirWatch:

  1. Log in to AirWatch
  2. Select All Content.
  3. In the top right corner, type your search criteria in the search box and then press enter.
