Notebook/Binder

Periodically, students will be expected to take notes on material presented in class. It is the student responsibility to get a binder and notebook to do so. Then, it is the student’s responsibility to make sure that their notes are organized and complete. The notes will be checked periodically for points. There will be several handouts given to each student. Students are expected to keep these handouts in their binder. Periodically binder checks will be announced ahead of time and will be done to check that the student’s binder contains necessary documents and handouts.

A student who is absent on the day of an unannounced quiz will be given an alternative assignment to complete. Students absent from class on the day of an announced test or quiz will have a maximum of 3s school days to make up the misses test or quiz. Failure to makeup tests/quizzes will result in a zero. Make Up Work

If a students is absence, that students will have as many days to make up their work as they were absents. It is the student’s responsibility to see the teacher before or after class to receive any materials/instructions that they missed. If assignments are not made up and in the allotted time, the students will receive a 0 for the missed assignments that were not made up. When it is known that a student will be out for an extended period of time, please let me know and I make arrangement to get any assignments to you in a timely manner.

Late Work

Ample time has been built into the lesson so that students of all ability levels should be able to complete the activities in the time allowed. If it is observed that many students are having difficulty getting the lesson completed in time, lesson activities will be adjusted accordingly. On the other hand, if many students are completing lesson activities with large amounts of time to spare additional activities may be added.

If a student doesn’t finish the assignment in the time allotted, it is their responsibility to come in before or after school to finish.

**Points will be taken off each day that the assignment is late

Classroom Rules

The following are the six classroom rules that will be applied to this class. Violations of these rules will be dealt with as dictated by the discipline Code of the High School Handbook.

  1. Follow teacher or Staff directions the first time they are given.Failure to pay attention while directions are being given may result in you not knowing what is going on in class or what you are to be doing. If directions you were given are unclear and you are not sure what they mean, by all means please ask!!
  1. Respect and care for your property, your school, and yourself. Please do not let there be any disrespect to each other, any adult, or any of the equipment. The technology you are using is not a toy, nor is it your own property. The computers are set up way we want them to be. You are not to be making any changes to any settings (including the buttons on the monitor). You are also not to be writing on any of the equipment, materials, or furniture—this constitutes vandalism to school property and will be dealt with as such
  1. Only visit appropriate Website. Visiting inappropriate website will result in a detention and phone call home. No questions asked.
  1. Bring all materials to class. We have a lot of work to get done while we are here. There isn’t time for students to be going to their lockers for materials that they forgot to bring with them. They will need to have their class binder and something to write with each day when they come to class. Please do not ask me to provide you with replacement materials because I will not.
  1. Be seated and ready when the bell rings. If we have to wait for students to be ready to begin, that takes away from the amount of time you have to get your work done. If you are not in the room when the bell rings, you will be considered tardy and dealt with as such.
  1. No playing Games at any time. - There will be no playing any type of games during class. Plenty of work as been assigned to you and if you finish early there is always something you can do to better you Project. 10 Points will be taken off of your project each time you are caught!!
