Wednesday, April20, 2016 Earth Day Invitation

I am a member of the Phoenix College Green Committee and I would like to invite you (or someone from your organization) to join in our Earth Day events planned for Wednesday, April 20 on our main campus in Phoenix (1202 West Thomas Road, Phoenix AZ 85013). The goal of the event is to inform students, staff and community members about sustainability options they can benefit from in all facets of life activities.
We are asking our invited guests to provide a display and, if possible, a giveaway to our participants to help remind them to use sustainable alternatives. For example, in the past, we have had a government organization display its recycling vehicle and hand out laminated, magnetized posters displaying items accepted for recycling.
The college enrolls approximately 11,000 daytime students (though they are not all on campus at the same time or days). You could potentially reach hundreds or thousands of people with this one event.
Your enthusiasm for providing this service to the campus and community is appreciated and I look forward to working with you. Please let me know if we can include you in our advertising and if I can answer any questions for you.
The outdoor event will begin at approximately 10:00A and end about 1:00P with set up taking place prior to 10:00A and break down after 1pm. Following is information for the required certificate of insurance or a waiver may be obtained if the proposed activity poses negligible risk. Once you let us know you will participate, we will complete the steps to secure the waiver.

A Certificate of Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.00 listing Maricopa Community College District at2411 W. 14th St.,Tempe,AZ85282, as the additional insured; is required from all outside agencies and groups holding or participating in an event at PC. The Certificate of Insurance must be received by the Phoenix College Event Services Office no later than 10 working days prior to the event.
