Additional Information:

Alaska

Couples must obtain a valid marriage license from the State of Alaska on their own. Alaska licenses are available by phone and on-line. The license can be picked up in person on a weekday in Juneau, Anchorage and Fairbanks.

Antigua

Couples must go in person to the Ministry of Justice and Legal Affairs in St. John’s to apply and sign for their marriage license. There is no waiting period. The cost of the license is $400.00, to be paid at time of application.

Aruba

There is no residency requirement. The necessary documents are copies of the following that can be submitted to the Office of the Civil Registry via mail or in person, at least 30 days prior to wedding date. Copies of birth certificates for both parties, certificates must have a state certification stamp; copies of a minimum of two witnesses' passport picture page or valid state-issued photo ID; divorce decrees/death certificates if previously married; certificate of No Impediment obtained at the Bureau of Vital Statistics. Also,there are different requirements depending on the type of ceremony you want to have:
Civil ceremonies -- must take place inside the Civil Town House. Once you have a civil ceremony you may have a religious blessing.

Catholic -- contact a Catholic church for details.
Protestant -- contact the church of your choice. Ceremonies may take place in a church or anywhere else on the island.
Jewish -- both parties MUST prove they are Jewish with documentation from their home rabbi; a petition for permission must also be submitted to the Aruba Jewish community; ceremonies may take place at the synagogue or anywhere else on the island.
There may be a fee to obtain a marriage license in Aruba. (depends on type of religious ceremony)

Bahamas

We can assist you in obtaining a Bahamian marriage license. The cost is $225.00. There is a 24-hour residency requirement. If either the bride or the groom have been previously married, there is an additional fee of $40.00 USD per person ($75.00 USD for non-US citizens) paid to the courthouse in Nassau on the day of the wedding.

Barbados

We can assist you in obtaining a Barbados marriage license. The cost is $300.00. The court will open on weekends and some holidays for an additional $250.00.

Bermuda

We can assist you in obtaining a Bermuda marriage license. The cost is of the license is $395.00.

Boston

Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license from the State of Massachusetts. The cost of a license is $25.00. Please note that Massachusetts does require a blood test.

British Columbia, Canada

Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license from British Columbia on their own, and the bride and groom must appear in person to apply for the license. Please also remember a valid passport is required for entrance and exit of Canada.

California

We can assist you in obtaining a California marriage license. The cost is $200.00.

Cayman Islands

We can assist you in obtaining a Grand Cayman marriage license. The cost of the license is $200.00 USD cash.

Mexico-Cabo San Lucas and Cozumel

We can assist you in obtaining a Mexican marriage license. The cost of a license in Cabo San Lucas is $350.00. The cost for a license in Cozumel is $250.00. A blood test must be done in Mexico, and the cost is $100.00.

DomincanRepublic

No waiting period, no blood test, two witnesses are required, US citizens are required to write to the American Consulate in Santo Domingo requesting permission to marry, parties must be at least 18 years of age to marry. The documents that are required are a valid passport, original birth certificate, single status affidavit in Spanish for each party, (joint affidavits are not acceptable) andthese must be notarized and state whether the bride or groom has ever been married, divorced, or widowed, a divorce decree or death certificate for partner in Spanish. According to Dominican Law a divorced woman has to wait 10 months before remarrying unless she is marrying the same man she divorced or she was divorced under special DR law. Then the ruling is a waiting period of 24 hours. The fees areUSD$60 - $100 depending upon judge (Necessary Spanish documents can be prepared by the Dominican consulate nearest your residence.) Upon marrying, you will be given a document that proves the wedding took place. You then need to request a marriage certificate from the local Justice of the Peace. The document issued by the Justice of the Peace is a valid marriage certificate anywhere in the world.

England

There is a residency requirement of 7 days in order to obtain a marriage license in England, and a waiting period of 16 days once the license is issued.

Florida

We can assist you in obtaining a Florida marriage license only if both the bride and groom are not Florida residents. The cost of the license is $93.50.

France

There is a residency requirement of 60 days in order to obtain a marriage license in France. Couples must appear in person to apply for the license.

Greece

We can assist you in obtaining a Greek marriage license. The cost varies depending on the couple’s marital status and the number of documents to be translated into Greek. Approximate cost of the license and processing is $650.00.

Hawaii

Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license from the State of Hawaii on their own, and the bride and groom must appear in person to apply for the license.

Italy

We can assist you in obtaining an Italian marriage license. The cost varies depending on the couple’s marital status and the number of documents to be translated into Italian. The cost of the license and processing varies from minimum of $860.00 up to a maximum of $1,500.00. Please call for an exact quote.

Jamaica

We can assist you in obtaining a Jamaican marriage license. The required documents are certified copies of birth certificates that include father's name; proof of divorce or death certificate of former spouse/s (if applicable) and don’t forget your passports! The application must be made in advance of trip by calling the Ministry of National Security at (876) 906-4908. There is a fee of $245 USD for the license and stamp duty.

London

There is a residency requirement of 15 days in order to obtain a marriage license in London, and a waiting period of one day once the license is issued.

Louisiana

Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license from the State of Louisiana on their own, and either the bride or the groom must appear in person to obtain the license. There is a 3-day waiting period from the time the license is issued.

Puerto Rico

We can assist you in obtaining a marriage license in San Juan. The cost of the license is $200.00. Please note that San Juan does require a blood test. If blood test is arranged in San Juan, there is an additional cost of $135.00.

St. Croix/St. John/St. Thomas

We can assist you in obtaining a marriage license.. The cost of the license is $100.00. The bride and groom must personally appear at the court to sign for the marriage license. The court will open on weekends and some holidays for an additional $150.00.

St.Kitts

We can assist you in obtaining a marriage license in St. Kitts. The cost of the license is $395.00.

St. Lucia

We can assist you in obtaining a marriage license in St Lucia. The cost of the license is $395.00.

St. Maarten

can assist you in obtaining a marriage license in St. Maarten. Women must wait 306 days from the date their divorce is finalized to apply for a license. The cost of the license is $250.00.

Tahiti

There is a residency requirement of 30 days in order to obtain a marriage license in French Polynesia. Couples must appear in person to apply for the license.

Texas

Couples are responsible for obtaining a valid marriage license from the State of Texas, and both the bride and groom must apply in person to obtain the license. There is a 72-hour waiting period from the time the license is issued.
