WASHINGTON STATE HISTORY - CONNECTING ARTIFACT THEMES TO WASHINGTON

For this project you will research three connections (four if you are doing an honors paper) between your topic and Washington State and write a short essay. For each connection, you will research and answer the following questions:

  • What is the event, person, or object? Describe it in detail by answering the questions words: Who? What? Where? When?
  • Why is this event, person, or object important?
  • How is it connected with Washington State?
  • If the event, person, or object is still relevant today (if it still exists or is being used) what is its status?

1) Complete the worksheet. Make a copy of this document and rename it “Your Name - Washington State History Connections Worksheet”. Move the document to your Artifact Folder and share it with both Peter and Catherine.

2) When you have completed the worksheet, open a Google doc in your artifact folder titled “Your Name - Washington State History Connections”. Share the document with Peter and Catherine.

3) Write a paragraph for each topic. Paragraphs must be at least 7 sentences, but more detail and analysis is better.
