Bid Spec

1.0 Description

The DVR utility software described shall be a Sanyo Model number VA-SW800 or equivalent. The software shall provide a remote surveillance and control system of up to 1000 DSR-M800 digital recorders from a single personal computer.

2.0 Bid Specification

The user shall provide a Personal Computer with an operating environment for the VA-SW800 software that shall meet the following hardware and software minimum requirements. The Personal computer shall have an Intel Pentium™ microprocessor with an operating speed of not less than 2 Gigahertz, and a minimum of 256 Megabytes of Random Access Memory. The Personal computer shall have a XGA display card capable of a 1024 x 768 resolution, with 16-million colors or better. The XGA display card shall be fully compliant with DirectX version 8.1 or higher. The Personal computer shall have an Ethernet Network Interface Card compatible with a minimum 100Base-TX networking speed. The Personal computer shall have one available USB port. The operating system for this Personal computer shall be Microsoft® Windows XP™ Professional.

The network environment shall provide for a proprietary Local Area Network IP configuration with a minimum data speed of 100Base-TX. The network switching hardware requirements shall be an unmanaged, non-repeating switch or switches. The network switches shall provide LAN ports with a 100Base-TX port for each DSR-M800 accessed by the VA-SW800 software. If more than 250 Digital recorders are to be accessed by the VA-SW800 software the end shall use the Auto addressing scheme as outlined by Sanyo in the software user manual.

The specified software shall be model VA-SW800 or equivalent. The software shall provide for, live viewing, recording, playback, downloading, and tamper detection of video and audio at a speed of 30fps (NTSC)/ 25fps (PAL) from a Personal computer for a networked system of up to 1000 DSR-M800s. The software shall provide the above functions for MPEG2 encoded video and MPEG1 Audio Layer2 from the SANYO DSR-M800 recorders over an Ethernet Local Area Network. The software shall have an image display resolution of 720x480 (NTSC)/ 720x576 (PAL). The software shall have the following control functions, Live, Playback, Still, Frame Advance, Slow Motion (1/2x, 1/4x, 1/8x), Cue/ Review (7.5x, 15x, 30x, 180x) these features shall be available for both the single and quad unit viewing screens. The unit shall have broadcast (command all registered DSR-M800 recorders) control function for unit Menu upload, firmware upload, start/stop recording, on/ off Timer recording, and clock set. The software shall have download, upload, set, and save function for menu settings of all registered DSR-M800s. The software shall have a time/ date search, Alarm search, and Alarm thumbnail search function. The software shall have a video tamper detection function. The software shall have 4 levels of user access permissions. Copy protection for the VA-SW800 software shall be through use of a USB key.
