User Manual for electronic upload of VSAT Activation / Surrenderrequests through ENIT - Electronic NSE interface for trading members:

For login to ENIT for submitting VSAT activation / surrender in soft copy, members are required to do the following:

The address, “has to be typed in the Address bar, and Go field to be clicked.

  1. After login to the above website, the modules of VSAT can be accessed.
  1. Click on ‘Exchange’, and then click on ‘VSAT’. A dropdown appears with the following options

VSAT ACTIVATION

Selecting this option will open a new window which will appear as follows:

The procedure for filling the application form is explained below:

Member Name: The trading member name will be displayed by default.

Member Code:This field will be displayed by default.

Office Type: The member has to select the office type from the list of office types (Branch office, Corporate office, Registered office, Registered Sub-broker office, Authorised Person office) provided in the drop down menu.

If the proposed VSAT has to be installed at a sub broker’s office, the member has to fill in the ‘SEBI Registration No’. The next field i.e. ‘Name of the registered Sub-Broker’ will be displayed by default once the SEBI Registration no. is filled in by the trading member.

The following field has to be filled if the proposed VSAT is to be installed at an authorized person’s office:

  • Name of Authorised Person:

Address Details: This is a mandatory field and needs to be filled in completely & correctly. The address in this field has to be that where the proposed VSAT is to be installed.

Pin Code:The field Pin code will allow six numeric characters only.

City: City has to be selected from the drop down available.

District: Will get auto populated once city is selected.

State: Will get auto populated once city is selected.

Region: Will get auto populated based on the State.

STD Code:This field needs to be correctly filled in alongwith the correct telephone number.

Fax No: Details of fax no. available at the office where the VSAT is to be installed to be provided by the member.

Res. Tel. No.: The residence tel. no. of the director/partner/proprietor needs to be mentioned in this field.

Res. Fax No.: The residential fax no. of the director/partner/proprietor needs to be mentioned in this field.

Mobile No.: The mobile no. of the contact person who will be coordinating the installation of VSAT needs to be mentioned.

Email Address: Details of email id of the director/partner/proprietor to be provided by the member.

Contact person Details for coordinating for VSAT installation.

Name: The name of the person who will be coordinating with HCL Comnet for installation of the VSAT needs to be filled in this field.

Designation: The designation of the above mentioned person to be mentioned.

Telephone No.: The contact no. of the above mentioned person needs to be given.

Contact Person at trading member Office:

Name: The name of the contact person at the correspondence office of the trading member to be mentioned.

Designation: The designation of the above mentioned person to be given.

Telephone No.: The telephone no. of above mentioned person to be mentioned.

After filling up the above mentioned fields, the following two buttons can be seen at the bottom of the page.

Reset

On clicking the “Reset” button, a new application form would appear without saving the entries made by the user. The user would have to enter all the details once again.

On clicking on the “Save” button, the details entered in the VSAT Activation request form by the member is saved and a page with the following captioned subject appears:

Attachments

The trading member needs to upload & submit the following documents alongwith the VSAT activation application.

The TM needs to browse & attach a soft copy of the following mentioned documents one by one, the format for which is available on the site.

  • Scanned copy of completely filled NOC
  • Scanned copy of Site Survey Report
  • Scanned copy of VSAT undertaking

For example, first the member needs to select one document:

  • Scanned copy of completely filled NOC Browse> Upload

After attaching the above mentioned forms, the member gets the payment details:

Payments

The trading member needs to click in the two boxes thereby authorizing National Stock Exchange

to debit VSAT deposit from their Exchange dues account.

A cheque for Rs.17,750/-, for installation charges in favor of HCL Comnet Ltd. needs to be deposited within 5 days from the date of application at following address, along with a covering letter & physical copy of VSAT activation request addressed to“HCL Comnet Ltd., C/o National Stock Exchange of India Limited, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai – 51”.

Kindly note that their will be two different sets of applications which will be submitted to National Stock Exchange:-

1)First Set – The first set will contain a print out of the request for activation of VSAT along with other documents i.e. a)NOC b)VSAT Undertaking.

2)Second Set – The second set will contain a print out of the request for activation of VSAT along with a cheque/demand draft in favour of HCL Comnet Ltd.

Kindly note that the two different setsshould not be stapled together.

The member has to check on two boxes as displayed below & click the “Submit to Exchange” button:

‘Submit to Exchange’ – When this option is selected, a re-confirmation pop-up message is displayed seeking the final confirmation for activation of VSAT which is displayed below:

Once it is re-confirmed then an information pop up message box is displayed about the documents required to be submitted to the Exchange.

After clicking ‘OK’ button, the trading member gets a request reference no. which has to be used for further correspondence.

After the application for VSAT activation has been made, the HCL Comnet officials will be visiting the proposed location of VSAT for conducting a site survey. In order to accelerate the process of VSAT installation, the trading member should make the site ready as per the specifications given by the HCL officials and forward the site readiness report to HCL Comnet Ltd.

VSAT ACTIVATION DETAILS

On clicking “VSAT Activation Details” Menu, the status of the VSAT activation application can be checked on the basis of “Request Reference Number”. The status of the application at each level of processing will be as follows:

Documents Awaited – Once the Trading member submits a request, he needs to submit the physical documents for the same to the Exchange within 5 days of putting in the request on ENIT.

Documents Received – When the trading member submits the physical documents to the National Stock Exchange, the status of the application is changed from Document Awaited to Documents Received.

Under Processing – If the request placed by the member is found to be proper after scrutiny of supporting documents, the status of the request is changed to Under Processing, which means that the request has been processed by Membership and forwarded to NSE Telecom Department for further action.

Rejected – If the Trading member fails to submit the physical Documents within 5 days from the date of putting in the request through ENIT or if the physical documents submitted by the member are not found to be proper, the status will be changed to ‘rejected’ which implies that the request has been rejected by the Exchange. The trading member in such case is required to put in a fresh request.

Approved –‘Approved’ status signifies that a VSAT ID has been allotted to the member against the request placed by him.

Save –If the trading member at any time is not able to completely place the request, he can save the incomplete request. Later on he can update and complete the request. The incomplete request would not be deleted.

Documents to be submitted by the trading member for VSAT Activation:

The following physical documents have to be submitted to the Exchange within 5 working days from the date of application through ENIT addressed to “Membership Department, National Stock Exchange of India Limited.”

Physical copy of VSAT Activation Request. (Login> Exchange> VSAT > VSAT Activation Details > Request Reference Number)

No-Objection Certificate for installation of VSAT

VSAT Undertaking. (Kindly note that the complete and correct original VSAT undertaking needs to be submitted only for the first time when the trading member is applying through ENIT. For subsequent applications, VSAT undertaking need not be submitted and the same has to be only uploaded).

The following physical documents have to be submitted to the Exchange within 5 working days from the date of application through ENIT addressed to ““HCL Comnet Ltd., C/o National Stock Exchange of India Limited, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai – 51”.

Physical copy of VSAT Activation Request. (Login> Exchange> New VSAT Requests> Request Status for new VSAT> Reference Number)

A Cheque/D.D. (payable at Mumbai), for Rs. 17,750/- in favour of “HCL Comnet Ltd.”

VSAT SURRENDER

On clicking this menu, the following page appears for filling in application form for VSAT Surrender:

Member Name: The trading member name will be displayed by default.

Member Code: This filed will be displayed by default.

Equipment ID: This field gives a list of all the active VSATs available with the member. The trading member just needs to click on the drop down menu and select the desired VSAT id to be surrendered.

The details against following fields in the application form will get auto populated once the VSAT id is selected and the member cannot edit and modify the details:

- VSAT Date of Activation, Address Details, Pin Code, City, District, State, Region, STD Code,

Fax No., Res. Tel. No., Res. Fax No., Mobile No., Email id.

The member has to mention the “Reason for Surrender”

Contact Person Details for Coordinating for VSAT Surrender:

Contact Person: The name of the official, who will be coordinating the surrender process, has to be mentioned by the trading member.

Telephone No.: The contact no. of the above mentioned official has to be mentioned.

After the above details are filled in by the member, the member has to click in the three boxes as shown in the snapshot attached below and click the “Submit to Exchange” button:

On clicking the “Reset” button,a new application form would appear without saving the entries made by the user. The user would have to enter all the details once again. On clicking “Submit to Exchange” button, the VSAT Surrender application is submitted to the Exchange and a unique request reference no. is generated which has to be used for further correspondence.

Further, kindly note that the VSAT Id which has been requested to be surrendered will not appear in list of active VSAT’s in the VSAT Surrender form.

VSAT SURRENDER DETAILS

On clicking “VSAT Surrender Details” Menu, the status of the VSAT surrender application can be checked on the basis of this unique reference number.The status of the application at each level of processing will be as follows:

Documents Awaited– Once the Trading member submits a request, he needs to submit the physical documents for the same to the Exchange within 5 days of putting in the request on ENIT.

Documents Received– Once the Trading member submits a request, he needs to submit the physical documents for the same to the Exchange within 5 days of putting in the request on ENIT.

Under Processing - If the documents are found to be proper after scrutiny of the documents submitted by the trading member, the status of the request is changed to Under Processing, which means that the request has been processed by Membership and forwarded to NSE Telecom Department for further action.

Rejected– If the Trading member fails to submit the physical Documents within 5 days from the date of putting in the request through ENIT or if the physical documents submitted by the member are not found to be proper, the status will be changed to ‘rejected’ which implies that the request has been rejected by the Exchange. The trading member in such case is required to put in a fresh request.

Approved –Approved status denotes that the VSAT material has been recovered & refund process of VSAT deposit & charges (if any) is initiated by the Exchange.

Documents to be submitted by the trading member for VSAT Surrender:

The following physical documents have to be submitted to the Exchange within 5 days from the date of application through ENIT addressed to “Membership Department, National Stock Exchange of India Limited.”

Physical copy of VSAT Surrender Request. (Login>Exchange>VSAT>VSAT Surrender Details>Reference Number )

Kindly note that the physical documents to be submitted to the Exchange should be stamped and signed by the Director/Authorised Signatory.

The application of Surrender of VSAT will be rejected if the physical documents are not submitted to the Exchange within 5 days from the date of application through ENIT.

Annexure 2

Documents to be submitted to the Exchange within 5 days of submission of application through ENIT for VSAT Activation/Surrender:

VSAT Activation

  1. Physical copy of VSAT Activation Request,
  2. Original No-Objection Certificate for installation of VSAT,
  3. Original VSAT Undertaking (only required for the first time application through ENIT),

Further, the below documents have to be submitted to M/s. HCL Comnet Ltd. within 5 days from the date of application at following address i.e. “HCL Comnet Ltd., C/o National Stock Exchange of India Limited, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai - 51.

  1. Physical copy of VSAT Activation Request.
  2. A Cheque/D.D. (payable at Mumbai), for Rs. 17,750/- in favour of “HCL Comnet Ltd.”.

VSAT Surrender

  1. Physical copy of VSAT Surrender Request.

Kindly note that the physical documents to be submitted to the Exchange should be stamped and signed by the Director/Authorised Signatory.
