I. Treasurer’s Report:

Approvedthe minutes from the regular meeting of July 14, 2011.

Approved the FinancialReport for June, 2011, as presented.

Approved participation in the Ohio School Comp worker’s compensation rating

program sponsored by OSBA and OASBO for 2012.

  1. Personnel Items:

Administrative:

Issued a one year, part-time administrative contract to Doug Smith as Assistant

Principal at Nashport Elementary, to begin with the 2011-2012 school year.

Issued a one year, temporary, part-time administrative contract to Dave Engle as

assistant principal at Tri-ValleyHigh School for the 2011-2012 school year.

Certified:

Accepted the resignation of Ryan McLane as high school social studies teacher,

effective at the start of the 2011-12 school year.

Approved a one year limited contract to Marc Hadley as middle school social

studies teacher for the 2011-2012 school year, pending verification of all license requirements and background checks. 0 years exp.

Stephanie Brennen - goingfrom middle school to high school as social studies teacher

Renee Spiker – going from high school social studies to middle school Title I Instructor

Classified:

Tabled the motion to approve a contract to Bonnie Hunt as part-time (3.5 hr) library

aide @ Frazeysburg for the 2011-2012 school year.

Accepted the resignation of Amybeth Wright as special education assistant at TVHS,

effective August 31, 2011.

Approved a one year contract to Kaitlyn Adam as a bus driver beginning with the

2011-2012 school year, pending verification of all license requirements and

background checks. Step 0

Approved a one year contract to Thomas Edwards as a bus driver beginning with the

2011-2012 school year, pending verification of all license requirements and

background checks. Step 0

Supplemental:

Issued a one year contract toMelissa DeVore as Community Volunteer

Coordinator for the 2011-2012 school year at Dresden Elementary.

Accepted the resignations of the following coaches for the 2011-2012

school year:

Rachel Smart-Gargasz –7th grade volleyball coach

  1. Superintendent’s Report:

The board appointed Eva Sieberas OSBA delegate for the annual Ohio

School Boards Association business meeting (November 14).

Approved the MVESC District Service Agreement for the 2011-2012 school

year in the amount of $22,838.00.(attached)

The motion to move TVHS Commencement to Friday, May 25, 2012, 7:00 P.M. was approved.

Samantha Scharli, 16 years old, from Switzerland, was approved as an exchange student @ TVHS for the 2011-2012 school year. She will be residing with T.V. residents Bill and Karen Allen.
