Set-Up and Clean-Up Times: Applicant may request additional time to set-up for the event or to clean-up after the event. The renter is responsible for cleaning the Hall and must return the Hall to at least the same condition it was in before the rental.

Alcohol: No liquor, wine or beer shall be sold or consumed in connection with the use of the Hall.

Smoking: The Hall is a smoke-free building and smoking of any kind is prohibited in the Hall and within 30 feet of the Hall.

Sound Levels: Sound levels must be controlled so as to not cause damage to the Hall or to unreasonably disturb neighbors.

Insurance: Applicant is to provide proof of liability insurance before the event:

Rental Fee and Damage Deposit: Resident: The rental fee of $100 and damage deposit of $200 (two separate checks) must be paid to the Town at least 14 days before the event. A few days before the event a key will be given which is to be returned the day after the event. The damage deposit will be returned on the inspection of the hall and the approval of the township board.

Applicant understands and agrees that if its application is approved, applicant is fully responsible for the event and is subject to the terms and conditions of the Township Rental Application.

Assumption of Responsibility: The renter assumes full responsibility for the appropriate conduct of all the group members and guests at the hall during rental hours. The renter also assumes full responsibility for any loss, breakage, or damage caused to the hall, the hall contents or to the grounds. The Town is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or illness suffered during the use of the hall by the renter or the guests.

Additional Information

Tables - 8 ten-foot tables (approximately 8 chairs fit each table)

Chairs - There are approximately 60 chairs

Kitchen – Limited kitchen facilities are available to assist in the serving of any food, but the kitchen is not designed to handle full meal preparation on site. The renter shall provide coffee makers, serving dishes, linens, towels, dish soap etc. The building is not suitable for washing large amounts of china.

Refrigerator – One 21 cubic foot refrigerator/freezer

Stoves – Our regular stove is not designed for large heavy kettles or pots. Our kitchen is for food service, not preparation.

Set up/Take down – It is the renter’s responsibility to set up tables and chairs. All tables and chairs are to be cleared, wiped and re-stacked. All garbage and loose debris is to be bagged and taken by the renter. All carpeted floors must be vacuumed. Restroom floors must be swept and washed. The building must be cleaned by 9:00 a.m. the day after your event unless otherwise noted in rental agreement. The town board will decide if extra clean up is needed, and if any damages occurred, and deduct the same from the damage deposit being held, with any excess to be paid by the renter.

Garbage – Garbage cans need to be lined. Garbage should be bagged and taken by the renter. You may need to bring additional bags for your own use. You do not have to reline the garbage containers at the end of your event. Please make sure garbage containers are washed out after the event. Pick up all trash in the parking lot and outside grassy area.

Emergency Exits – All emergency exits are marked with exit lights. In the event of a power outage, emergency lights will come on. No obstruction should be placed in the exit areas.

Key - Turn off all lights and lock all doors upon exit. Return key to Township Clerk or designee by 10:00 a.m. the day after your event. There will be a $50 charge if the keys are lost.
