Private School Agreement

This agreement for Title I Supplemental services was entered into based on consultation meetings with the Title I Director and the private school officials atEaster Seals Lily.

The plan outlined below will be implemented to address the needs of the eligible students attending this private school.

1)Describe the method the LEA will use for identifying eligible students. / Process of entering the Title I program:
Criteria 1: attendance in Title I school zone
Criteria 2: evidence of academic need
Criteria 3: age 5 as of 9/01 to age 18 as of 8/31 of SY
2)Describe the instructional services to be offered for participating students attending private schools: / The district will provide supplemental academic services to eligible students through an after school programand/or through utilization and monitoring of resources. The location of the services will be determined after input of the superintendent. Students will receive instruction in: Reading/Language Arts/English and/or Math, depending on the area(s) identified as deficient. The district will hire a highly qualified teacher and paraprofessional, if necessary, to provide the instructional services. Services will begin in September 2015 unless the private school requests a different start date due to the scheduling needs of the private school. Advertisement(s) for the position(s) will be posted on the district’s website in August or as soon as the grant is approved by FLDOE. In the event that a teacher is not available or is not the preferred choice for service delivery by the private school, the district will consult with the private school to determine appropriate resources to meet the academic needs of the designated students.

4)Describe the Decision making Process / The following consultation schedule has been developed for the 2015-2016 SY:
District Meeting: February19, 2015
Initial Consultation: February 2015 - June 2015
Ongoing Consultations: June 2015 - June 2016
Private school officials will participate in the scheduled consultations with district Title I personnel.
Decisions regarding the services will be made collaboratively during the meetings and will include (1) when services will be provided (during school year outside of school hours), (2) what services will be provided (instruction/resources based on academic need), (3) who will participate (designated students who meet the criteria), (4) how services will be provided (teacher hired by the district in consultation with the school).
5)Description of Contracted Services / There will be no contracted services. All employees providing services will be employees of the Collier County School Board.
6)Description of Professional Development Opportunities / Consultation Items: February 19, 2015District Meeting
Professional books focusing on academic achievement may be distributed by the district. Additional activities may be determined for the designated teachers who work directly with eligible, participating students.
7)Description of Parent Involvement Opportunities / Consultation Items: February 19, 2015 District Meeting
The district will provide Language/Math-in-a-Bag resources (based on identified academic need) for families of participating students to promote family literacy. Parents of eligible students will be invited to participate in workshops offered by CCPS Title I Parent Academy.
8)Description of Program Evaluation / Continued Consultation items: May 2015-June 2016
The evaluation of the program will occur in two ways. To determineannual progress and program effectiveness, the district will analyze the student performance on approved pre- and post-assessments. The level of growth will be determined and reviewed by both the private school and public school officials.
Parent, teacher and/or student surveys will be administered to determine the perceived impact. The surveys will be conducted at the close of the2015-2016SY. Results of the surveys will be shared with all parties.

We agree that the above Service Delivery Plan was developed through timely and meaningful consultation between the LEA and the private school officials. The development of the plan occurred before the LEA made any decision that affected the participation of eligible private school children in the Title I, Part A program.
