Job Description – Fixed Assets Controller /
Role: / Fixed Assets Controller
Description: / To support internal/external Customers in anassets management role by preparing, analysing,reconciling and presenting all financial information relating to assets for all Stores, Divisions, Countries,Group and Auditors adhering to company policies and monitoring the compliance thereof

Key Performance Area / Description
Manage Fixed Assets Department /
  • Efficiency and quality of service, production,processes or procedures through the direct mobilization and supervision of employees.
  • Planning, scheduling and supervision/co-ordination of a process, or of production of service flows to achieve efficiency and quality goals.

Capex Approval /
  • Approval of fixed asset purchases for capitalization adhering to thecompany policies and monitor compliance to its instruction and levels of authority.
  • Ensure efficiency in documented process flow.

Maintenance of fixed Asset Registers /
  • Manageand review daily capturing of additions, disposals and transfers ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Ensure that on a monthly basis tags for new assets are supplied to Stores and Support Office.
  • Ensure profit and loss calculations are accurate and Vat invoices are raised monthly.
  • Reconcile Fixed Asset Register by countries to general ledger.
  • Ensure monthly deprecation run journal is accurate and timeous.

Reporting /
  • Monthly reconciliation of Fixed Asset Register and general ledgerreportsis timeous for Pre-release deadlines.
  • Provide stores and internal auditors with quality register.
  • Prepare and present half-year and year-end lead schedules for External Auditors accurately and timeously for yearend.
  • Prepare and present Monthly Profit and loss reportsfor Pre-release meeting.
  • Any other adhoc reports required

Annual budget /
  • Run depreciation forecast by categories for all stores for Annual budgets to be completed timeously and accurately.

  • Allocate the necessary resources within the framework of the established priorities and time tables.
