MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING for Tax Year 2005

This Memorandum of Understanding is between the EITC Task Force of Southern Arizona and ______(Fill in name of Task Force member).

WHEREAS each party participates in service programs or efforts utilizing an outreach approach to providing assistance or services to moderate to low-income families in a variety of areas; and

WHEREAS, awareness of and participation in the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit are recognized ways to fight poverty and start families on the path to self sufficiency we agree to support the work of the Task Force by signing this MOU and indicating the specific tasks that our agency/ organization will undertake.

THEREFORE, each party executes this Memorandum of Understanding for the purpose of increasing public awareness of and participation in the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit to its respective populations. Each party further agrees to promote the goals of the EITC Task Force for Southern Arizona, including participation in free tax preparation through Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program and promoting asset-building opportunities though same.

OUTREACH:
