FACILITY HIRE RATES

(exclusive of GST)

The hall is for hire by interested parties. The room may be hired on a regular basis or for a single occasion. The room has seating for approx. 70 people and will cater for 100 people cocktail style.

CROQUET PARTIES

A charge of $15 per person includes: full use of all croquet equipment, help from experienced players in playing the game, including beginner instruction and the opportunity to play at least two games in a session of up to three hours. This also includes the use of clubroom facilities for a total of four hours plus one hour preparation time prior to event start time. Add-ons available at the below rates. Any additional hall hire is at the below rates.

A Minimum charge of $200 applies (plus add-ons) for any two and a half hour playing sessionwith the minimum number of attendees being fifty.

The minimum charge of $200 must be paid as a deposit within two weeks of the booking being confirmed, with the remainder being paid prior to the eventunless prior arrangement has been made.

PLEASE NOTE: To keep our prices to a minimum, the client is responsible for:- Set up of tables/chairs inside and outside to suit their event, provision of own decorations including tablecloths, set up and assistance to caterers if required.

HOW TO PLAN AND MAKE APPLICATION FOR CROQUET PARTIES AND HIRE THE CLUROOMS

  1. Download this document, read the regulations and fill in the forms.
  2. To confirm your booking, E-mail forms to Croquet or fax to (08) 8271 6586 to confirm availability and provide details of your proposed booking.

The Bookings officer will progress your booking as per the Hiring Regulations.

CROQUET SA HIRING RULES & REGULATIONS

Organisations, community groups, or individuals (the Hirer) may hire the hall, which excludes the use of the croquet courts unless specifically agreed to by the SA Croquet Association. Shoes with heels should not be worn on the courts. Any damage inflicted on the courts during an event will incur a non recoverable charge of $200 minimum, maximum charge to be the cost of repair to the courts.

  1. To confirm your Hall Hire Booking, Agreement with the Hiring Regulations in writingand a deposit of $200 +GSTis required.

The balance due including the bond must be paid at least two weeks prior to the event.

Cancellation of the event two or less weeks before the event will incur the loss of the deposit.

  1. A designated representative of the Hirer will be responsible for collection and return of keys to the facility, and it is the

responsibility of that person to ensure that electrical equipment, lights, etc have not been used to support decorations and

that heaters, urns, stoves, air conditioners etc, have been turned off; the security system set; all doors and windows locked;

all gates locked, when leaving the premises. That person is also responsible for reporting any breakages or damage. Breakages and other damage must be reported within 24 hours by the Hirer’s Representative. Any charges for breakages or damage will be deducted from the bond and the balance will be refunded to the hirer within 14 days of the inspection at theend of the period of hire.

3. The designated representative of the hirer is also responsible for the following:-

Equipment or decorations and rubbish must be removed prior to the vacation of the premises and by 11pm in the case of

an evening event.

All rubbish must be correctly sealed and placed in the appropriate rubbish bins provided outside thebuilding.

The clubroom furniture is to be returned to its original position, and left in a clean state.

No equipment belonging to the hirer is to be stored at the premises.

  1. Croquet SA is a licenced venue. All alcohol consumed on the premises must be served and supplied by Croquet SA.

No alcohol may be brought on to the premises unless written prior arrangement has been made. Staff reserve the right to refuse service to intoxicated persons or people behaving inappropriately.

  1. Possession or consumption of illicit and controlled substances will not be tolerated in any form.
  1. Smoking is not permitted in the clubroom, on the courts or any other area inside the boundary fences.

8. Shoes with heels should not be worn on the courts.

  1. The South Australian Croquet Association clubrooms are covered by Public Liability Insurance, however it is the Hirer’s

responsibility to protect themselves against liability at law for injury to or death of any person or damage to any property

as the result of the hire and use of the facility or the breach of any law or regulations by the Hirer or any person using the

facilities with the Hirer’s permission.

  1. The Hirer indemnifies the South Australian Croquet Association and their officers, members, guests and the Adelaide City

Council as the SACA Landlord of the premises, for any claim, loss,damage, or expense(including but not limited to any injury

to or death of any person, or damage to any property) suffered or occurred as a result of the hire and use of the facilities or a

breach of any law or these regulations by the Hirer or any other person using the facilities with the Hirer’s permission.

  1. The Hirer shall and ensure that users of the facility comply with all laws which apply to the Facilities including but not

limited to, the Health Act and Regulations(relating to handling and selling of food, the Environmental Protection Act and

Regulations(relating to noise abatement), Liquor Licencing Act and Copyright Act(relating to the use of music).

12Failure to adhere to these regulations may result in Hirer having their agreement terminated, or future applications to hire

the facilities denied.

Charges and conditions are laid down by the South Australian Croquet Association Inc, and may vary from time to time.
