Tovstonogov Academic Big Drama Theatre (St. Petersburg, Russia), A. Pushkin Theatre (Pskov, Russia), City Theatre (Tallinn, Estonia), Tilzit-Theatre (Sovetsk, Russia), «Shauburg» Theatre (Munich, Germany).

The International Jury headed by the academician l. Gitel’man will define the winners in the following nominations: Grand Prix, the prize for the best direction, the prize for the best performing of male and female roles, the prize for the best scenography.

Theatre press, leading foreign and Russian theatre critics, weekly press-bulletin.

The scholar-practical conference «The Classics in the Mirror of Theatre» will take place by the results of the festival. Leading theatre critics of Russia and North Europe, directors and actors will participate in the conference.

THE FOLLOWING IS PLANNED IN THE FRAME-WORK OF THE FESTIVAL:

- Ceremonial awarding with the first theatre prize of St. Petersburg «Golden Sophit» on October 2.

- Extensive showing of the best performances of St. Petersburg Theatres: G. Tovstonogov Academic Big Drama Theatre, Alexandrinskii Theatre, Lensovet Theatre, Comedy Theatre, Theatre on the Fontanka River, Small Drama Theatre, V.F. Komissrzhevskaia Theatre, Young Audiences Theatre and others.

- International seminars:

October 3-5 - Seminar of theatre festival directors (in conjunction with the Theatre Art Academy and Soros Foundation);

October 8 - 10 - Seminar on the author’s right protection (in conjunction with the Theatre Art Academy and Sweden Institute).

- Great excursion program for the guests and participants of the festival.

The festival was included in the program of the conference of the majors of the Baltic Sea Region cities.
