The Lindisfarne Tennis Club is the ideal place to have a hit with friends or join a team for some regular competition. Combine the welcoming atmosphere and the great facilities and it’s the best option for rediscovering or learning to play tennis.
Membership is an affordable and convenient option, as it allows use of the courts and other facilities for social tennis or regular rosters. Regular newsletters keep members informed of tennis and social events, as well as opportunities to play club and inter-club competitions.

Facilities
Lindisfarne Tennis Club has five all-weather, synthetic grass courts with full flood lighting, a ball machine and hitting wall, clubhouse with kitchen facilities, barbecue area and ample parking.
There should always be at least onecourt available for general use by members. Members are welcome to bring visitors; cost for non-members is $5 per person per visit payable via an honesty box in the clubhouse. Lights are operated by timed coin-operated meters in the clubhouse and cost $5an hour.
Social tennis
Social tennis is played in a relaxed, friendly, semi-competitive atmosphere and is an excellent introduction for new members. Social tennis is played:
- Ladies: 9.30am-12.00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
- Men: 9.30am -12.00pm Wednesdays
Competition tennis
The club is affiliated with Tennis Tasmania and participates actively in associated pennants. This includes the AYC Mixed Summer Night Pennant from September to March each year. Members are able to enter all Tennis Tasmania championships.
Junior tennis
Junior pennants are run during Terms 1 and 3. Advanced juniors are also encouraged to enter the Interclub Pennants held Friday evenings all year.
